Has anyone seen the movie "Latter Days"??? I watched it Saturday night at my date's (same guy who was in pic with me at Disney last Saturday) and it is a really good movie!!

It's a good date movie...
I really don't remember the plot...
It had a cute guy it, I remember that.

The first time I saw this movie I had my mouth falling open at how bad parts of it were. I also was so involved in the parts that were good that I was pratically weeping at the end. If I taught a film class this movie would be at the top of the list for review. It has some incredibly bad dialogue and scenes that are poorly staged and directed. It has some really great scenes as well and as far as I am concerned Steve Sandvoss saved the movie completely with his portrayal of Elder Davis. The movie stayed on my mind for weeks because of the emotional impact yet I still get very frustrated with how bad some of it is.

My all time favorite quote is from that movie.
"Do you ever read the Sunday comics? Well, when I was a little kid, I use to put my nose right up to them. And I was just amazed because it looked like this mass of dots, and none of it made sense until I pulled back. Life looks like that mass of dots to me sometimes. None of it makes any sense, but I like to think that, from God's perspective, life, everything - even this - make sense. It's not just dots. Instead we're all connected, and it's beautiful and funny and good. This close we can't expect it to make sense, not right now."

It follows to a T my philosophy on life.

Since we're are on the subject... What did y'all think of "Adam and Steve" Starring Craig Chester, Mal Gets, Parker Posey, Chris Katan and produced by same s folks as "Latter Days"? You may not have seen it...

I LOVED that part!!!! Elder Davis is such a sweetheart to Lila in that scene.

I know it is not the "best" movie when it comes to storyline development/acting. But I know it got me because there are parts that you can really relate to and so many people hope to find that "special someone" and you just never know where you will find him (or her or whatever makes you smile).

And seriously, Steven Sandvoss gives me freckin chills and makes me melt in this movie. (turns crush off)
