We are visiting for a couple nights in late October.
I've heard about the restaurant shuffle, but have found it difficult to get exact info about the status of things, as well as when things will be finished.

I have called, and read everything on line.
I'm hopping someone who was there very recently can shed some light....

Thanks,
MG

I was there last weekend.
Construction was still happening. All the walls were still up around the restaurant.

Don't sit on the sand at the beach if you don't coat yourself in bug spray. The noseeum's (sandfleas) ate my legs up. The itch is very irritating.

The water was great at the beach and pool. The turtles are hatching and the weather was nice and hot.

Have a great time! :)

We were there in late August and had a refurbished Inn room which was lovely. The restaurant was boarded but we never heard any noise or had any disruption. My husband also got bitten to bits even with the bug spray and wipes while round the pool so go prepared. Other than that-it was a perfect few days in an amazing place-we loved it :). Enjoy.

We were at Vero in May before the restaurant refurbishments and had beautiful weather. We had no problem with no see ums(sand fleas) either at pool or beach. We did however rent the lounge chairs and cabana at beach, didn't sit directly on the sand. Does anyone know if the Sand Fleas are typical to a certain TIME of year as I have read several posts in the recent two months on it?? :confused3:confused3 Did read also that late in day at beach is worse. Thanks in advance. :goodvibes

Just got back yesterday from 2 days at VB after our cruise. First time there. The restaurants are all boarded up yet. The temporary options didn't look that appealing to me considering the prices they were charging to eat in basically a conference room so we just ate off site for dinner. We had really good meal at a local pizza/Italian restaurant called Giuseppi's and we enjoyed our meal at Squid Lips. Both were about a 10 minute drive. We asked around on the beach for suggestions. We stopped at the Publix and did breakfast and sandwich lunches in our room for the other meals. Beware the place is a GHOST town after dinner. We wanted to play mini golf or shuffle board or something after dinner and everything closed up around 6:30pm. My kids were bored out of their minds in the evenings. I didn't realize or we would have at least borrowed a board game or two for the evening. We also couldn't find an ice cream shop nearby and ended up with $20 worth of Mickey Bars from the gift shop. We ended up running to RedBox and getting some movies since the selection at the resort was so limited. It was very nice, but VERY low key for our tastes. Just be prepared for the evenings and plan ahead.

Thanks for the update....
We are planning one dinner at Squid Lips, and the other at Ocean Grille (one of our all time favorites).

We were hoping the Sunday brunch would be in full swing but it doesn't sound like it will be.

We are also hoping the Green Cabin Room has light entertainment. They often do on weekend evenings, but with all the construction hubbub it's anyone's guess.
We don't have kids so drinks at the GCR after dinner suits us perfectly!!
