For some reason, my July member newsletter which was received last week disappear from my email. Can someone be so kind as to forward it back to me? My email address is maribelsn@earthlink.net

Thanks so much!!

Here I thought I was the only one not getting them!!

To those who never received a copy, it might because your mail server is restricting it, thinking it's spam.

The following is printed at the very top of the newsletter which may be of help. (of course if you never got the newsletter, how do you know this was printed at the top.... )

This e-mail was sent to you by Disney Vacation Club. To ensure delivery to your inbox folder, please add disneyvacationclub@dvc.chtah.com to your address book.

I'm sorry to keep bothering you all about this, but I never received the copy Kadorto sent. I know it's not my spam setting because I did got the newsletter send by dvc but it disappeard from my inbox (someone must to have messed with my profile in the computer), and my provider keeps copy of the spam in their server and I checked and it's not there,so if not to much problem, can you send it again?? I will forward it to all of those that need it.

I've gotten it in the past but not for quite awhile. I'll have to double check to make sure it isn't being looked at as spam.

It's not as "fancy" as the original but here it is:

Neighborhood News & Notes
Carpe P.M. at Summer Block Party
Members are seizing the night like never before, participating in a series of Summer Block Party gatherings at Pleasure Island beginning this month.

The complimentary gatherings, taking place on Tuesdays, July 5-Aug. 23 (5-7 p.m.), at the east end of Pleasure Island (outside Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club and inside Motion), let Members mix and mingle with their Disney neighbors before "rocking the block" and experiencing the island's themed entertainment and dance clubs into the night. Members who attend the Member Block Party gathering will enjoy complimentary admission to Pleasure Island for the remainder of the evening.

"There's nothing better than bringing Members together," said Scott Spongberg, one of the event's organizers. "Pleasure Island is such a great place to cut loose, and gathering as a Disney Vacation Club community is a great way to kick off the night."

Please note that certain age restrictions may apply for access to certain facilities.

Member Perks
To take advantage of any Member Perks, you must present your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card, and at times, a current "Key to the World" card imprinted with "DVC Member."

Introducing the happiest perks on earth
The debut of Disney Vacation Club Information Centers at the Disneyland Resort didn't just deliver the best-kept Disney secret to West Coast Guests; it also delivered a host of new Disneyland perks to Members throughout the Disney Vacation Club community.

Disneyland Resort Deluxe and Premium Annual Passports, for example, now are available to Members (and as many as eight immediate family members living in the Members' same households) at a $20 discount when purchased at a Disneyland Resort ticket window.

Once inside Disneyland Park, Members enjoy a new 10 percent discount on meals at the Plaza Inn and Redd Rockett's Pizza Port. Disney's California Adventure™ Park, meanwhile, offers that same discount (excluding alcoholic beverages) at Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill, Pacific Wharf Café, Pizza Oom Mow Mow and Taste Pilot's Grill.

A variety of perks and discounts are available at the nearby Downtown Disney® District, including offers from AMC® Theatres, Basin™, Catal Restaurant, Club Libby Lu, Compass Books and Café, Department 56®, ESPN Zone®, Haagen-Dazs® shops, Hair Wraps, House of Blues®, Illuminations®, Island Charters™, La Brea Bakery™ Cafe, LEGO® Imagination Center, Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria, Pearl Factory, Rainforest Café®, Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, Something Silver, Tom Kelly Caricatures, Tortilla Jo's and Wetzel's® Pretzels.

All offers are subject to change without notice, and Members must present their valid Disney Vacation Club Member ID Cards to take advantage of these perks.

For complete details about Disneyland Resort discounts, visit the newly enhanced Member Perks section of www.dvcmember.com.

Meet La Nouba™ performers through "Cirque perk"
Cirque du Soleil®, having recently announced a Disney Vacation Club Member discount on tickets to La Nouba at Downtown Disney® West Side, has enhanced the perk with a unique opportunity to meet some of the show's performers.

Members who purchase discounted tickets for shows through Sept. 30 (see below for details about the ticket discount) may learn what it takes to pull the show together by attending a special question-and-answer session with La Nouba performers on July 23, Aug. 20 or Sept. 17 from 1-2 p.m. at the Cirque du Soleil theater.

The ticket-discount offer, announced in the summer edition of Vacation Magic, invites Members to order category 2 tickets (for themselves and as many as three Guests each) at a 25 percent discount for shows through Sept. 30, 2005. (Please note that the show doesn't take place on Sundays and Mondays, or Aug. 14-17 and 28-30. Availability is limited, and restrictions apply.) To order these discounted tickets, call Member Services at 1-800-********.

While advance reservations are required for this ticket discount (you may place these ticket orders anywhere from 2-30 days before the show), reservations aren't required for the question-and-answer session.

Remember to bring your Disney Vacation Club Member ID Card to the show, as you'll have to present it at the Cirque du Soleil box office in order to receive your tickets and attend the question-and-answer session. Plan to arrive at the theater at least 30 minutes before showtime. (Arriving 30 minutes early to the question-and-answer session, however, isn't necessary.)

Pool-hopping reminder
"Hopping" to select pools throughout the Walt Disney World® Resort is among the many perks of Disney Vacation Club membership. Please remember that pool hopping isn't available at Uzima Pool at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge or Stormalong Bay at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Resorts. Due to expected high occupancy, pool hopping won't be available at any resort Sept. 2-5 and Nov. 21-27. Other restrictions also apply to this perk. Complete details are available in Perk Pages and at www.dvcmember.com.

For the most current list of Member Perks, visit www.dvcmember.com and read Perk Pages, included in your Disney Vacation Club Resort check-in folder.

What in the World
Virtual Magic Kingdom online
Kids of all ages, all over the world, are rejoicing: they now may visit the Magic Kingdom Park whenever they please--virtually, of course.

Virtual Magic Kingdom, a multiplayer online game debuting this month, allows Guests to log in and create personalized characters from a variety of wardrobe and character feature options.

Guests are then free to explore a digital Disney landscape rich with Magic Kingdom attractions, hidden Mickey hunts and hours of interactive fun.

Among the many features of this free, real-time experience is the ability to chat, trade and interact with other VMK players from around the globe. Mini-games--like the high-seas, cannon-blasting Pirates of the Caribbean adventure--let Guests go head-to-head, battling for high scores and virtual credits that can be redeemed for cool stuff at virtual shops around the "Theme Park."

But it's not all virtual. A visit to VMK Central at the Main Street Cinema can score players real-world offers and rewards good for their next visit to the real Magic Kingdom Park.

Visit www.vmk.com to create your own character, and live the magic online. Then check out the fall edition of Vacation Magic for a Member-exclusive VMK game code.

Disney gift cards
New Walt Disney World Shopping & Dining Gift Cards are scheduled to debut in August.

Guests will be able to purchase and use the cards at select merchandise and select food-and-beverage locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, determining their card value upon purchase (from $5-$1,500), and enjoying the option of adding additional dollar amounts to the card later.

Baby rhino continues to thrive
Six year-old Kendi, the first white rhino born at Disney's Animal Kingdom® Theme Park, gave birth to a baby girl named Kayla this spring, and Animal Keepers report that the new addition continues to thrive.

At birth, Kayla (Swahili for "pure") weighed about 100 pounds, measured 28 inches long and stood 18.5 inches tall. Her weight has soared since then, adding 3-4 pounds a day. Kayla is expected to reach about 4,000 pounds, the weight of her proud mother.

Kendi and Kayla, pictured above, represent critical milestones in the Theme Park's conservation efforts, as white rhinos have become endangered species due to poaching in their native Africa.

So be on the lookout for white rhinos during your next Kilimanjaro Safaris® expedition, as you just may catch a glimpse of these very rare animals.

Sweet celebration
The Happiest Celebration On Earth is a feast for the senses at the Walt Disney World Resort, and culinary artists are capping that feast with sweet desserts.

The broad range of new dessert items, available at select dining locations throughout the Resort, sport everything from edible Happiest Celebration On Earth logos to shapes inspired by Happiest Celebration On Earth attractions.

The Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant at the Disney-MGM Studios, for example, serves up the "Orange Chocolate Impression of the Stunt Show Spectacular," pictured above, a racing-wheel-like fusion of orange-Bavarian milk chocolate with Grand Marnier cake and a rich pinot noir reduction.

Other items range from the Expedition: Everest™-inspired "snowcapped Everest cakes" (Amarula-soaked cakes topped with white chocolate) at the Boma - Flavors of Africa restaurant at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to the Cinderellabration-tribute "Royal Engagement" dessert (a chocolate slipper filled with rich chocolate mousse, served on a pillow of angel food cake and fresh fruit compote) at the Cinderella's Royal Table restaurant at the Magic Kingdom Park.

Look for these and other new Walt Disney World desserts throughout the Happiest Celebration On Earth.

Operational updates
From time to time, attractions at Walt Disney World Theme Parks undergo refurbishment, temporary closure or seasonal operation. Be sure to visit the online calendar at www.disneyworld.com prior to your visit for the most recent listing of attraction closures (subject to change without notice).

Ask Jim
Q:On the Partners statue at the Magic Kingdom Park, what is the symbol on Walt Disney's tie?

Jim's Answer: I get a lot of questions about that emblem. It is a stylized version of the initials of the Smoke Tree Ranch, Walt's vacation home in Palm Springs, Calif.

Q: On the Partners statue, Walt wears a wedding ring on his left hand and another ring on his other hand. What's the story behind his right-hand ring?

Jim's Answer: On his right hand, Walt wore a Claddagh ring, an Irish wedding ring with two hands intertwined. There is Irish ancestry in Walt's family. Both Walt and his wife, Lillian, wore the ring.

Q: What was Disney's first PG-rated movie?

Jim's Answer: Disney's first PG-rated film was The Black Cauldron (1979), although when earlier theatrical films like Treasure Island (1950) started to appear on video, they also received PG ratings.

Q: I remember watching a Disney cartoon show with original characters when I was younger on Saturday morning, and it wasn't "The Gummi Bears," but my wife doesn't believe me.

Jim's Answer: To keep peace in your family, you might want to look for information on "The Wuzzles." The Wuzzles were Eleroo, Bumblelion, Hoppopotamus, Rhinokey, Moosel and Butterbear. Only 13 episodes aired in the United States on CBS on Saturday mornings (1985-86). "The Gummi Bears" aired that same season on another network.
