Okay folks, we're going in a week, what's the latest scoop: wontons or no wontons? I told DD8, aka the wonton queen, that they were gone and I'm surprised Walt himself didn't call me from beyond the screaming was so loud! Now I've read that they will remain, along with the chips. What's the latest from all of you in the know?

I heard they had the wontons, but no shrimp. But again this is what I have heard.

I'm not really sure of what your definition of won tons is...but I enjoyed the won-ton chips and won tons chips filled with some kind of vegetable I think it was. They are like the crispy type noodles that you get a chinese restaurant...only a chip. And they were GREAT! Also, they do have shrimp. It looked to be boiled and it was FABULOUS! The new menu is great...i believe you will be pleasantly surpised..... :earsboy:

PS..I ate there on 9/17

Just ate at Ohaha's on 9/14. They said it was the first day of new menu. We had a bowl of wonton chips and wontons filled with shrimp. Also served a bowl of peel and eat shrimp with peppers and pineapple. A yummy salad, wonderful potatoes and mixed veggies was served with all the incredible meat. Even our 3 year old loved it. We were full but all managed to try the bread pudding dessert. The highlight of the meal for our 3 children was the non-alc. daquiris. Would definately go here again. Hope this helps :cool1:

thanks all, it's the filled wontons that we are hunting. We are regulars at Ohana, each trip we dine there at least once. Lat time, in July, I think was the best ever, meats were perfect, first time with the veggies instead of the green beans. I'll check out the photo link.

Yes filled wontons are there. They give you a big bowl with filled wontons and just the wontons. They were good.

thanks safetymom, I knew I could rely on you. Are you there everyday? Are you a CM?

No I am not a CM. Believe it or not I don't go to the parks every day. :) It just so happens it was my daughters birthday the other day and we went to Ohana's for dinner. I knew my son would like it because they give you plenty of food, even too much for him.

Also, when I did the review from 9/18, I asked the server about this - he said they would be keeping both.

I think we are going to eat here as well. I didn't realize when I made my PS that you only need one TS for a character dinner, so now we have one extra and I really want to eat here. It all sounds so good and the CM I talked to on the phone tonight said she was just there last week, wontons and all and it was the best meal ever.

Aside from the food what is the atmosphere? I am going with two boys ages 5&7

Very open and laid back, windows on three sides. explain at the hostess stand that it's your first time and ask for a window seat. These overlook the grounds, the boat area or the volcano pool/MK/Castle. We had a MK view the last time, nice in the day, probably spectacular at night. It is loud and boisterous with the hula hoop contest and coconut races, so kids feel comfortable. Enjoy, we'll be there next Wednesday!

Well I ate here this past Friday night 9-23-05 and while we did have both kinds in our bowl, we were also told they were phasing the filled ones out and that by middle of this week there would be no more "filled" ones.

NOOOOO!!!!! I was looking forward to those!!!

Thanks for the info on the seating, I will make sure to ask when we are seated
