Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on booking the latest possible times available for character breakfasts. We have 4 planned as we are taking 2 WDW newbies with us this time. We are looking at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's, Akershus and Tusker House (ROL package).

Our ADR booking date is 8pm tonight (I'm in Australia) and we are still a little undecided. Obviously we will be there during Christmas/New Year (yes, we know what we are in for :) ) and we are planning some really late nights to see out EMH etc. So really early mornings aren't doing a lot for us.

We are doing an 11:45 am at 1900 PF in October. We are doing the MNSSHP that night so we wanted the latest breakfast possible and then we will just hang around before going to MK for the party.

We did Chef Mickey's brunch before our MNSSHP last year. We actually missed meeting Donald because he came around to our table while we were at the buffet. When we asked to see him we were told he was finished and wouldn't be back. They gave us one FP+ (slip of yellow paper for a ride at MK - POTC I think). Just make sure you get to see all characters if there is a break in between meal times.

Thanks guys. We've gone for late breakfasts for each of them. We've got 10:30 for Tusker House, and 10:45 for the other three - Akershus, Crystal Palace and Chef Mickeys.

We are early lunch eaters in my family, so we like to book the late breakfasts as lunch. We don't eat much for breakfast so we like having lunch before the lunch rush at 10:45 or 11 at Disney!

We always book the later seatings of Akershus breakfast (around 11) and it is our lunch. My kids wake up very early and we feed them in the villa before rope drop. By 11 they’re ready to eat again. They LOVE breakfast food (and Akershus lunch/dinner menu doesn’t do much for us.) Highly recommend doing this at Akershus!

We also do the latest breakfast. If we get to the park early, we will get on a ride. Usually we sleep in a bit. Getting to rope drop is always the plan but it rarely happens in our family.

Late breakfast at Tusker House means you also get to sample the lunch buffet as it's being put out. It's a great option!!

Following the thread because we booked TH, H&V and Akershus, all at 10:45. I’m especially interested in H&V because of the new TSL opening and I think that if they open earlier, a PPO (8AM) would eliminate any benefit if the park opens early. My kids love TH and all character interactions but we don’t want to be eating when the lowest park crowds are.
