I'm not talking about time, age, or length of engagement!
I attended a wedding last Saturday where the groom was an hour late due to a late relative, who was riding with him, and the other groomsmen. (He may have been in the wedding party)
The minister came out about 40 minutes after the wedding was scheduled to let the congregation know. Apparently, this relative(s) was from out of town, but the town was only about 1&1/2 hours away, and it was a 3PM Sat wedding. (little traffic)
My question is, how long should you wait for anyone other than the bride or groom? I don't understand why, if that person was so important, they weren't in town earlier in the day.
Would YOU expect them to hold the wedding for you for that long?
