Late to plan please help!

I think seeing fireworks on every park is a bit much. Not necessary.

April will be after most spring break crowds and after Easter. You might be able to do standby it get an earlier FP for A&E.

I understand the desire to do it all but the kids are gonna meltdown. My 12 year old still tries to do it all - RD and fireworks - and literally ended up sobbing at the bus stop at midnight on out last trip.

Some if these threads are like I've punched the wrong code into a time machine. Just in case anyone peruses this one, note that per Landry's Select Club FAQ, the card is not valid at Yak&Yeti.

Thanks for the advice. This is the only time I could come up with to see A & E. We have only been to disney one other time, our last trip we were much more relaxed (got to the parks in the morning but not for rope drop, left mid-afternoon, sometimes went back, other times just stayed at the resort. The girls were 2 and 5 then, it was a fabulous trip. We didn't see fireworks because the girls were just too tired.
Should we try to see fireworks in each park at least once or is that too much?

My little Princesses wanted to meet A&E in the worst way. I was up at midnight and was able to get an 8 PM FP. I was so excited for them!!!!! YAy me! Well, I never took into account that these two were not late night owls, and so they never made it that late by the night we were scheduled to meet the two. They never missed not meeting A&E, in fact they have never mentioned that they did not.

I think you may really need to revisit your planning schedule. We can do early morning but then don't stay late, If we want a late night we start later and then head out later the next day. I always plan to see the fireworks in every park, but that is us to the timeline, if we miss we miss.

If your first trip was fabulous, and you did nto get it all in, then members that this one can be as well. You will never see and do everything, so do not get exhausted trying. If you think the kids will enjoy the fireworks. (My DGD was a fireworks fan) then make sure you give them plenty of rest before the show, and unless they are chronic early risers, go slow the next morning.

I think you've answered your own question "it was a fabulous trip". We get so caught up in do/see it all, we forget to be on vacation. all the planning is fine but be prepared to throw it all out & let the kids dictate the pace. If they're up & ready to go, make rope drop. If they're dead tired, let them sleep. If they take a good break, go back for fireworks. If they are totally cooked, don't. Remember to have a "fabulous" time.

I agree with people about too many late night then early mornings...even if you get back to your hotel room 45-60 minutes after the night show ends, the little ones may not go straight to sleep because of the excitement. I pushed my DD too much on our first longer trip and I paid the price - she was over tired by day 3 and we had to change plans when we were there instead of just making a more realistic plan from the start. DD was 6 at the time. Now we plan to sleep in after a later night and plan to use FP+ for our favorites on days we don't rope drop. Since you are there for 7 days you will have plenty of time to see everything you want to see without doing rope drop to close every day! I have our 7 day schedule plans for October in my pre-trip report (linked in my signature) if f you want to see how I try and stagger things!

The only thing that I see as a potential issue is the WC ressie at 7:10pm and then trying to get back to MK in time for the parade and fireworks. If you are seated late, food is slow to come out of the kitchen, transportation is slow, etc. you probably won't make it in time.

ETA - I would move the FP to later morning and/or early afternoon times. That way if the kids are tired you can let them sleep in longer and not miss your FP.

Hello! I have 2 daughters, age 7 and 4 too!! So fun! :yay:

I agree with the other posters that late nights and early mornings will be hard. I'm only planning on 1 firework show (Wishes, duh!) and the next morning will be a late breakfast in Epcot. I have also worked in a resort day to relax and hang out by the pool.
On our last trip, my then 5 year old crashed on the night of day 3...we sat on the bus to go back and she was out!! (My youngest took naps and was still going.)
Go strong in the beginning because they will be so excited but then take it easy on day 3 or so to recharge.

Have fun!! I seriously can't wait!
