Late Summer/Early Fall Incentives

Hi everyone,

We are talking to a guide right now about buying 150 direct, I mentioned we are D23 and asked about the "Special Offer" of $500 that is on the pricing sheets posted in this thread. My understanding is we would get $500 off for the Special Offer and an additional $500 offer for D23 for a total of $1,000 credit. He is saying that the "Special Offer" is either Military or D23 for $500 off. I was interpreting it as the Special offer of $500 for taking the tour and an additional offer of military or D23.

Can someone whose been through this clarify for me? This is our first experience buying direct. Thank you!

Additional "Special Offer" above limited to one of: Military, D23 Gold Member, or Cast Member.

The "special offer" *is* the Military/D23 $500. They are one and the same.

I don't think as good as they were last summer (for some), but better in a lot of cases (though not all) than the spring.

The D23 discount of $500 is pretty good since it can be used on only 100 points.

Thanks everyone! We went ahead and used the D23 discount. Wishful thinking on my part we could get another $500. We are now officially blue card holders at the Poly and have our Welcome Home trip this October at the Boardwalk. The points loaded in less than 2 hours! We were able to take advantage of Magical Beginnings with our September Use year as well. I’ve learned so much reading these boards, really appreciate everyone’s input.

It's not as though they do not know it. They just don't want to give you an $18/pt discount for a 25 point purchase.

Is magical beginning still a thing? So a 200pt direct purchase at Poly would be 200x235 - Developer Credit of $2,200 on 200 points - 200x20?

Also, I was able to use the 1st welcome home to replace my Labor day week cash room at Beach Club with a Theme Park view BLT studio borrowing some of my 2025 points while not touching my 2024 points I used for MB.

So I will get $3,200 MB and I was able to get the $2,500 cash reservation canceled and refunded. In addition to putting the deposit on a card with 3% back so in "Disney Math " Most of my 20% deposit is covered.

(It must have been the tiny Stitch doll that sealed the deal) Bringing my total to 350 points with a December use year at VDH. (Also have 160 resale VGC June use year) Utilized Magical Beginnings to make the price per point go down. Had no intention of buying, but decided in the rush to check out by 11am on Sunday, wouldn't it be great if we had more points to book the extra night and not need to rush to check out...just leave whenever we are ready to leave that day. Oh boy, I think we are officially certifiable.
