Late Summer/Early Fall Incentives

I’m still holding on to the idea CFW has some future trick up its sleeve.

Putting it at $175pp could be the a balance between not letting DVC sales numbers imply negative connotations around the product, without it fly off the shelves underpriced either, and at least putting something back in DVD’s pocket for now. To hit an acceptable level of sales in the interim. Who knows though? It’s hard to make it make sense  $175pp might be perfectly fine when considering the cost to develop and projected % of sales at that price until the other shoe drops and more is released about the complete future of this resort?

If he said no D23 then I wouldn’t trust him on the other two.

🤷‍♂️

I editorialized what he said - which is that he does not expect changes to the incentives offered on day 1 of this cycle. I didn't see any incentives on today's pricing sheet so i figured that's what he meant (i.e. no incentives of any kind) - did not know there is still D23. Either way, only time will tell if even more incentives will be added in the middle of this cycle, but I won't hold my breath for them and will be moving ahead with 250 direct Poly points via the last promotion cycle pricing.

Does anyone know if Riviera with these incentives and with MB and d23 discount comes out to the same or worse as what they had going on yesterday with all the stackable discounts or is it actually better?

Yesterday would have been $28,950 (points only, no dues or closing) for 150 points, today it is $28,150. Almost $1,000 better. It is worse at 200 though (going from $24 and $1,000 to $26).

From what I can tell 150 points is better while 200 points is worse

Through July
Riviera
150 x 235
-500 d23
-1000 ap
-1800 $12 per point discount
-3000 mb
= $28950 / $193 pp

Riviera
200 x 235
-500 d23
-1000 ap
-4800 $24 per point discount
-4000 MB
= $36700 / $183.5 pp

Through September
150 x 235
-500 d23
-3600 $24 per point discount
-3000 MB
= $28150 187.66 pp

200 x 235
-500 d23
-5200 $26 per point
-4000 MB
= $37300 186.5 pp

Subject to change if any additional discounts come out

150 is slightly better without the AP discount. If they include another discount it’ll be much better.

Hi all! I spoke to a guide today, but we may all be receiving different information. My guide confirmed the D23 $500 discount. No AP discount, and the Disney Visa discount is only for CFW.

I was thinking about 150 at Riv, but with no AP/Disney Visa discount, I'm not so sure.

That is consistent with what has been said in here. Riv at 150 is better today than it was yesterday by $800 even with no AP/Disney Visa discount.

So am I doing this math right....

Regular price of VDH is $245 per point. If one were to purchase 150 points, it brings that down to $215 per point?

Then if you were to use Magical Beginnings, it basically takes that down to $195 per point?

(No, we aren't looking to purchase points right now. Just curious and taking notes for the future.)

So, in regards to D23, is it as simple as buying the lowest $49.99/yr membership and subsequently getting $500 off?

Yes if you are not factoring in other discounts like D23.

According to the coupon that comes with your card, which took about two weeks for me to receive you’re supposed to show the card and the couponto your DVC guide. I have read on here that some guides have accepted the email which includes your D 23 number as proof that you joined. I have also read that some guides insisted that you have the card.

Hmm $800 of savings isn't enough to sway me into thinking there wont be a better deal down the line... im going to see how sales go in August and if riv is doing better than Poly or even close
Keep in mind your use year - Mine is September, so if I wait until the next cycle, I lose out on a full year of points. I don't see the Riv being $20 points better in incentives so this will the the cycle I go for it. Once you lose that year of points (for magical beginnings or just for the points), a better deal might be a worse deal overall still.
