hello!

I was curious about late September in Disney World. How high of temps and how much rain should we expect? Crowds?

It is very hot. We go the last week in September. We hit the parks early and take a mid day break then go back at night. The rain was never to bad for us. Good Luck!!!

Ive been once at the end of September and it was too hot for my liking. Now, I go at the end of October a few days before Halloween. A lot more comfortable weather wise and crowd levels are acceptable.

We went in September 2014. The heat was bearable but there was a LOT of rain (more than we've ever experienced in June, July or August)!

I think it depends where you're from. I find late September to be great weather at WDW. Then again, we live in Atlanta and I went to UF for college, so I'm fairly used to heat and humidity. It isn't the brutal heat and humidity of late July/early August, but it won't be cool. I love being in shorts and t shirts early in the morning and late at night without needing a sweater.

We've been the last week in September. Hot? -yes. Unbearabable?-No We used misty fans and did a TS every evening to rejuvenate. And just a little sprinkle for 1 hr the whole week with a rainbow (so that was neat)!

I was there September 23-28th in 2012 and it was HOT!!! Very hot and humid. We lucked out though, it only rained on the day we were leaving to go home and that is rare for September!

Yogi Berra once noticed, "Nobody goes there anymore, it's too crowded."

End of August through mid-November had historically been lower crowds.

That should tell you something.

Reminder: Hurricane Katrina was August and Hurricane Sandy was into Halloween.

Regardless, times have changed - Disney is almost always crowded.

I have been to WDW the last 2 years in September. It is summer time hot, and if you don't care for summer heat, then it is probably not for you. It can rain a fair amount but we never had any problems with rain during our last two trips. Overall, we loved our trips because crowds were incredibly low. Many rides were basically walk on and it never felt crazy crowded. Even though it got quite hot mid-day, we never felt like the heat got on the way of having a great time.

Thank you all! I've studied the crowd calendars, just hoping for first hand experience. We live in Ohio, so I'm used to hot. We went on our disneymoon in mid September in 2007 and I don't remember it being unbearable But that was 8 years ago...We are also traveling w a toddler so I am building in breaks for rest, etc. just want it to be warm enough for swimming or water parks, but not miserably hot. Like 80s I can manage.

This is how I feel. I have been several times the last week of September, into first week of October and it's my favorite time. I never thought twice about the heat. The crowds are awesome and I usually find the ride lines to be very short. Maybe the heat would bother me more if I was standing in long lines in the brutal heat but most of the time we wait under 30 minutes.

We're also going late September. We wanted to hit MNSSHP and Food & Wine so very excited to visit during this time but have also read lots of reports on the heat and rain.

All of our trips have been the last week of September. It's hot, but just drink plenty of water and you'll be fine. We're from Alabama, so we're used to the heat. Our first trip, we had zero rain. Our most recent trip, it rained at some point during the day every day. Just pack some ponchos and hang in there if it rains. People seem to run for their resort when it rains, so you'll be one of the few people in the park! :)

All four of our trips have been late Sept. We love it. Crowds are lower, and free dining has been offered, which is the big draw for us.

Temps are typically 86-94F, with 88F being more typical. Humidity has also been high, like 80%+. It's hot, but we like it that way, and the pools are great in the evening. Would rather have hot, and wear shorts than be cold and wearing at coat!

2013 was our only year (knock on wood) that we've had significant rain. 2010, 2011, and 2012 literally had one afternoon of rain each stay. That was it. 2013 pretty much rained our first 3-4 days. Rain sucks, I ain't gonna lie. :) Average rainfall is slightly higher June - August than it is for Sept. Lots of people don't realize that. ;)

Late September/early October is one of our favorite times to go. MNSSHP is, IMO, the best special party they do -- so fun. Plus you get F&WF at Epcot. It is very hot, and it rains most every afternoon, but the rain doesn't usually last more than 30 minutes or so. As for crowds, they aren't as light as they used to be at this time, but still one of the lowest crowd levels you'll find.

Mid to late September has always been a favorite of mine. We haven't been during that time in a while due to it just being inconvenient for us. Crowds are so much lower than most other times, but yes it is hot. I also live in Atlanta and grew up in Mississippi, so we are no strangers to heat and humidity, but I'll take the heat over crowds any day of the week. Just keep your squirt fan ready and scope out places to get out of the heat when it gets too much and you'll be fine. Have fun!! :D

We were there the last week of September 2014 and it was hot, but not unbearable. It did rain a lot though. Advantages were definitely lower crowds, MNSSHP and Food and Wine Festival at Epcot.

Have fun!
