Late 'Ohana reservation

We have a reservation in a couple of weeks at 'Ohana, but thanks to a last-minute decision to eat here, the only one we could get was at 9:50 P.M. and the restaurant closes at 10. Should we be worried about being rushed along? We really enjoyed this place last year and are psyched about going back, but I don't want to get there at 9:50 and have dessert thrown at us by 10:15.

Anyone have stories about late reservations here?

1) No problem, you can stay quite a while

2) Just pay no attention
. . . to waiters with crossed arms & tapping their toes
. . . the waitress in the corner with the cattle prod
. . . the lights systematically being dimmed
. . . the kitchen staff mumbling
:rolleyes1

We have been to Ohana that late and it is no problem. The food is as good as any other time! The entertainment thins out a bit, but you will not be rushed.

Rushed - no, not at all. They seat you and dozens of other tables up until 9:55, so the waitstaff is scheduled until at least 11 or so. We had a 9:50 seating and, on the contrary, the service was SLOOOOOOOOOOW! Slowest service I've ever had. Not bad, just drawn out - we didn't leave until after 11:30. The food, however, wasn't so great. All the sides were fine, but the meat was pretty awful. It was clear that it had been sitting on the side of the grill for a while - most of it was hard, dry and overcooked. They definitely didn't cook fresh meat for our seating time - just gave us what was left over.

I had the opposite experience our last 2 late reservations. We felt skipped over and very rushed. When the waitress brought our drinks (there were 3 of us) she basically threw about a dozen straws on the table. I don't think that night we got refills either. We love going there but will not go back that late.

one good thing about that time is if
Wishes is at 10 pm you can see then wonderfully from the restaurant.

me and 3 friends took a last minute girls trip and got an Ohana ressie at 9:45PM (exactly 2 weeks ago today, actually LOL). We actually arrived at 8:30PM planning to hang out and have drinks until our table was ready and we actually got called at 9PM, 45 minutes early! But if you are going during Free dining, as I will be there again in 3 weeks, this time with the fam, the restaurants are much more packed so it may not be the same. But even late at night we had excellent service and the food was awesome!!!

Please report back when you get back on how it was. I also have a late ressie at 9:30 in 6wks and have been trying almost daily to get an earlier time without any success at all. I asked this same question a few months ago and had mixed reviews about it. With some saying it was a great time and had great service and great food and others saying bad food and bad service.. This will be our 3rd year to go so I hope they don't disappoint us this time
