When I did our plans, AK was scheduled to close at 9 every night of our trip. We are offsite, so booking FP at 30 days out, I knew we couldn't get FOP. My plan was to go late afternoon of our arrival day (5/9) and get in line for FOP at 8:30. I know several who have used that strategy to good effect lately.
But they changed AK closing to 10:30 every night of our trip. We can't stay in the parks until 11:30, it doesn't work for our family, esp after a full and a half day of driving. How crowded should we expect AK to be after 9pm? It is a Saturday night, and I know that doesn't help us out at all.
Just trying to set some realistic expectations for our group.
