Late night snacks, La Piazza?

From the MV Navigators, it looks like snacks are offered nightly for adults only for about an hour in La Piazza. I think this is a nice way to get people into the lounges at night.

Does anyone have information about the snacks? I assume it's light hors d'eouvre. Anyone have any information from the MV? Is there a good crowd? Drink specials?

On the Magic, there are late night snacks in Diversions (adults) and Promenade lounge (families). The offerings are the same--some sort of veggies with dip, little petit four size sweets, some fruit. It used to be in the hall outside the nightclubs, but on our most recent cruise had moved inside the lounges. Most people took a plate and took it somewhere--either being seated in the lounge or back to the rooms.

According to Inside the Magic podcasts from the preview cruise it is light hor d'eouvres. I think he said one of them was chicken satay sticks. I can't remember the rest. Article and some pictures here: http://www.**************.net/2012/...k-while-d-lounge-entertains-the-whole-family/

Thanks for the responses. That actually looks like a very nice improvement over the District. I was a bit surprised at how everything essentially rolls up at 10:30 on Dream. We tried heading down to the District a couple of times, but frankly were a bit embarrassed to be the only people there, except for some very anxious looking servers seemingly delighted to have some patrons.

It would be great to have something a bit more lively, and I think maybe the snacks might be a way to get it jump started.

The latenight snacks on the Dream were out until 11:30 on our cruise a couple weeks ago - and we thought they were fine (and sound similar to what they're having on the Fantasy). But the whole District was still essentially dead after 10:30. There would be a couple people in the different lounges and maybe a few more in Evolution for the 10:00 adult event (pretty filled on the nights the illusionist did a special show). But when we'd be leaving the District between 11:00 - 12:00, the District was almost a ghost town. We commented several times wondering where all the adults were.

Pretty good hot snacks! No drink specials that I knew of and as with most of the DCL ships there weren't a LOT of people in Europa but there were always some people around. O'Gills seemed to be the busiest, though The Tube and La Piazza always had some people in them.

That's one of the things I love about all 3 ships I've been on so far, the adult districts are never too crowded or busy beyond the adult cabaret or specialty "match your mate" type events! Love it when there's not a lot of crowds around anytime I can get it!

Absolutely loved Europa! The champagne bar was a great place for a little "sip" before dinner. princess: The Pub was lively, and the whole area seemed really away from all the other activities onboard. It's worth a look just to see the bathrooms!

As for the late night snacks, they were fried selections the night I took a serious look. They included tiny egg rolls, mini meat pies, etc.

I did a search and found this thread. Any updates on the food offerings now?

They still sound pretty accurate. Similar to what we saw on the Fantasy last summer. Not a huge spread, but we came back more than one night. Also, thought the Night Club/bars weren't packed after 10:30, they weren't empty either. With the kids clubs open so late, it is easy to stay out if you want to. We had teens, so usually they wanted to stay out at least as late as us or later.
