Late night lines when parks close earlier?

Just FWIW, I would eventually expect to see MK hours extended on non-party nights that time of year. Disney hasn't been updating park hours until about a month out lately.

I agree, and not just because I am also going in late October. I'd say it is quite likely to see some hours extensions for that time frame, so just keep that in mind. Of course, party nights at MK won't change.

Idk if they still are, but when emh for Pandora were until 1am, they were closing down the standby line about an hour prior to regular park closing hours. They did this to let majority of the line clear out so when the emh started the on site guests weren't coming into a 2 hour wait right off the bat.

YES! This happened to us when were in Pandora in early June. The park closed at 11PM, and EMH were 11-1am, and they closed down the standby line for FOP to all non resort guests at 10PM and would only let people who were resort guests into the line from that point on. We got in the line at something like 10:10 and waited two hours.

And here is the answer to those wondering if they're inflating the times at FoP.

YES, I know they consistently inflate times just before closing at a number of attractions throughout WDW, but I don't think they are doing that at FoP right now. The waits really are as long as they are showing. If they were inflating the time, I doubt they would close the line.
