Does anyone know if you get right into the later evening (10:30PM) Fantasmic show without waiting forever? Is it much easier to get into or do you suggest doing the dinner package even for that later time?

We saw Fantasmic in early July 2000, the later show, without the package, and it was a tortuous wait. People packed together for over 90 minutes in the heat and humidity with no where to sit or even move with aching feet and crying children.

This time we're not taking any chances and doing FDP.

I would suggest doing the dinner package even for the later time, but I'm curious to read about the experiences and advice of others.

Interesting - I thought when they have the late seating that it doesn't get the huge crowds. I guess I was wrong. I thought I read that somewhere. OH well.

Get the dinner package. We did this in April and had the ps at the Holleywood and Vine restraunt. The food was good, it was as a buffet, and we even got $4.00 glow in the dark ice cubes.

But the thing is our dinner was for 4:30 but well worth it. They will give you a voucher to get into fantasmic and you can go do whatever you want. There is a special section off to the right for the FDP guests. But you do not have to wait in line for the 90 minutes. You go in the back way. It's like a major fast pass.

Just remember this, if you want any refreshments at fantasmic, you will need cash. The places to get something to eat only take cash. Oh and if you leave your seat and go to get a refreshment, ask the cm what the "secret word" is or you may not get back to your section.

Went to the late Fantasmic show (1030) on Tuesday the 8th. People started lining up about an hour before the show, however there was plenty of seats (two sections were not used). The lines for fantasmic can be confussing, 1/2 hour before will get you a seat for the 1030.
