Late night Disney transportation

Please help, I need some advice relevant to Disney transportation.
On previous vacations we have rented a car and not used the Disney buses etc,
however on our next trip we intend to use them as we are staying at BCV and SSR but I am worried that as we like to stay in the parks til they close and are normally one of the last to leave what would happen if we missed the last bus, monorail etc.
Would we have to arrange for a taxi or is there a special pickup for stragglers on request?
It is unlikely that this will happen but I just want to cover all eventualities.

They don't stop those buses until everyone is gone from the parks. Now, unless you're hiding out in the restrooms and wandering down to the bus area about 2 hrs after park closing, you should be fine. There are a ton of people that like to linger and take their time leaving the parks.

As long as the CMs know you are in the park, there will be a bus waiting for you when you leave.

Now this last bus will wait for the last remaining guests. For example, if there are 30 guests still in the park, the first of them get on the bus 2 hours after closing, that same bus will wait for the last guest, even if they get on the bus 2.5 hours after closing. AND that bus will stop at all the necessary resorts.

I've 'closed the parks' many times, always transportation there for you.

Bottom line is that Disney will not leave you stranded without a ride back to your resort. When you do eventually leave there will be Cast Members working overnight to get the park ready for the next day. You will never be the only one left in any park....although you might be the only guest if you do decide to hide out in the restroom......

Just Don't Closed Downtown Disney! After 2 am that is, as you will need a taxi if you wait till after 2 am to get the Bus.
