Just booked a trip to WDW 8/23-8/30/06. Thought I'd give Disney Dining a call and give CRT a shot in case there were any cancelations!!

Not only did I have multiple options to choose from for the breakfast, the same was true for the lunch. Even the CM was shocked. It seemed wide open. I got to choose my ideal time on my ideal day!!! :cheer2:

I picked the lunch over the breakfast since we did the breakfast a few years ago and the lunch did seem a slightly "better" use of our TS credits then the breakfast.

Not bad for a little over 2 months out! Boy will my two girls be excited!!!

Now I have no idea how easy or hard the rest of my ADRs will be since I didn't try to make any others yet - need to to figure out all the different combinations out before I can even start to make them!!

I think it's because it's a poor use of credits and people on the free dining are trying to stretch those credits. I know we won't go now. I think Disney will soon realize that the higher cost and 2 credit value will make CRT lose it's appeal quickly to a lot of people.

I'm glad you could get in!!! =)

Interesting. Late last August, we could only get 4:15 on a weekday. We decided not to go even though we had the ADR.

We are trying the princess dinning at the Norway Castle this time instead. It's only 1 TS credit and looks just as good.

I also just booked a couple of ADR's for the end of August and had my pick of times. I booked Crystal Palace dinner, Spoodles, 1900 park fare breakfast one day and dinner another. A girl I work with just Monday was able to get a 7:15 hoop de do reservation along with a bunch of others. The only one she couldn't get when she wanted was LeCellier. Hopefully the parks won't be busy even with the free dining. :cool1:

We decided to go 120 days out, and I got CRT. I thought I was there during a busy time (June 2), but there were 2 or 3 empty tables during our sitting. We enjoyed it, but it is definitely not worth the price increase. I wish you could decide for yourself about the picture. My DH picture is much better!

Nothing for the last week of Sept - I think this means you'll have a wonderful time with the last week of August being less crowded than the last week of Sept!!

We're not doing the free DDP. We will staying through DVC so will be paying for the DDP out of pocket for about $60/day for me and my 2 girls.

I agree the 2 TS for CRT is really not the best use of the credits. However, how much food am I and 2 little girls going to consume?

We're going without DH this trip so it's the perfect time to go! DH wouldn't think even paying for the meal OOP would be a good thing if he were around. He thought it was overpriced years ago and thought once in his lifetime was enough already! :rolleyes1

So, if we were ever going to do it, this would be the best time when he wasn't with us.

Hope the availability is a sign, like eeyore45 suggests, that the parks will be less crowded.

I called early this morning to try and change our resie times at CRT. We will be there Sept. 27-30, and there is not one single opening for breakfast, lunch or dinner for those dates!! I really hope that's not a sign the parks will be super busy those days.
