Late lunch or early dinner for MVMCP?

Hi everyone !!!!
I am trying to decide between doing a 2:30 lunch at Kona Cafe or a 5:00 dinner. It will be just DH and myself. We have done MVMCP before but just wondering what others have done on the party nights. Last time we ate at The Plaza which was good and the time before we had dinner at Kona so I am just wondering if lunch would be better. Can anyone tell which is better at Kona - lunch or dinner?

I have done it both ways. For eating inside the parks, I like an early dinner, say around 4:00 or 5:00. If I want to eat on the monorail, I prefer a late lunch. I have done lunch at Kona and dinner, I prefer lunch. Simply because at dinner, there are so many people milling around outside waiting for 'Ohana it sort of distracts me. At lunch, 'Ohana isn't open so no crowds right outside Kona waiting to get in!

I do have to say, my new favorite thing to do on party days is to sleep in a bit, do a very late character breakfast, then head back to my hotel to relax by the pool, then head to the party from there eating cs inside MK around 5:00ish. But I have kids and that works for their whole costume thing.

We are going down just for the party as a suprise for DD and I plan on having a late lunch at a resort and then when we get hungry doing Pecos Bills during the party..

We always do a breakfast or late lunch and a CS in the parks the night of the party.
