Late June/Early July Crowds and Lines

How bad will it be in late June/Early July to not stay at a Universal resort for the early entry and express passes? Will it be doable to just day visit and not have to move from our Disney resort?

summers are always busy at parks.
if that is the only time you can vacation, take your patience with you and enjoy what you can do at UO.

staying on site is a great way to avoid longer line waits and have the ability to go back to your hotel room onsite to avoid the heat of the day.
return later and do more park entertainment then.
