Looking into what clothes I will need for vacation. We will be heading out July 26th-August 4th. I have researched the temps but what kind of clothes will I need? Everywhere is so different with temps/humidity! I know a light jacket is a must for the mornings/late evening, but are tank tops a better option than t-shirts??? What are your opinions??? Thanks

I'd go with Tshirts over tanks.

I'd also bring along a couple of pairs of capris or long pants for the evenings. You might not need them, depending on how warm blooded you are and what the weather does, but you'd be surprised how many times I've been happy I've had them, even in the middle of summer!

On average highs around 88 and lows around 65.

You could always hit up the gift shops if you needed something different.

That depends on the person I guess. I would not say it is a must at all. In late July/early August we head out in tee shirts and shorts at 6:30-7:30AM and are out at midnight still wearing the same thing. July 2010 was unseasonably cool in July (the high all week we were there was 75) and some in our group may have used a sweater early morn. That was an exception. We rarely take extra clothes to the parks and even more rarely need them.

I guess to me it is female vs males when it comes to dressing. I wear shorts, a Hawaiin shirt with a tank underneath and take the outer off usually by 1000. I am very warm blooded so the less clothing the better.

My wife is just the opposite, you would think we were starting out in a freeze zone, once it gets hot than its shorts and a top and the process reverses at evening time

We were there July 25-26 last week and wore shorts and T-shirts, but were chilly in the evenings. It was too hot to be out in the sun for very long during the day but there was plenty of shade. Highs were probably about 85-90° and humidity about 75%. Lows about 65-70°.

This year, planning on roll-up capris (stylish, I know), T-shirt, and packing a light sweater for after dark. What I'm trying to figure out is shoes, because I'll be 7 months pregnant.

I am so cold blooded I think I must be part lizard. :rotfl: That is about the time of year we usually go. Maybe mid to late July. I always wear shorts and usually keep them on all day. I don't even change for evenings. However, I do bring a very light, very thin sweater with me for early mornings and evenings. I like that one because it can scrunch up small in a backpack and is nothing to carry around. Usually, even I don't need it for more than a few minutes in the morning because I get warm by our fast walking pace. There have been a few evenings though were I was glad to have it with me. I usually bring one pair of capris just in case, but I don't recall using them. Shorts and light sweater is usually enough for me. Even I wouldn't bring a heavy sweatshirt to the parks unless there was some sort of unusually really cool evening.

I think it depends on you and the climate you are coming from. It isn't as humid in Cali as it is in Missouri, so that will make the temps seem less extreme. At least that's how I feel, but I'm from bone-dry Utah!
The only time I've ever worn long pants at Disneyland was a New Year's Eve trip, and even then we were hot in the day time. We did need jackets at night though. Last year for Halloween, we took shorts and sweatshirts, and wore the sweatshirts once on our early entry day. There is the "June gloom" which lasts pretty much all summer, and that can make it a bit chilly during the early morning. But even then, you'll stay plenty warm if you are running around to different rides. I would say you're probably fine to leave the sweatshirts at home, but it all depends on if you are the kind of person who tends to get cold easily!

I would definitely suggest taking a sweater or light jacket.
Of course, if you don't take one, then you get to buy a new Disney jacket when you get cold!

Take one? Definitely. Need one in practice? Often not but it depends on your comfort zone. Have it there juts in case.
