So we have dinner ADR's at (i think) 4:45 on a Monday at BOMA. We'll be spending the day at animal kingdom and then taking the bus to animal kingdom lodeg for dinner - and then going back to nimal kingdom to enjoy thier evening special magic hours.
We want to watch the 4:00 parade which i am told lasts about 15 minutes. then we will leave - hop on a bus and go to dinner... In a ideal situation 30 minutes would be enough time to leave the park - and take a bus to a very nearby resort - but I recognize that it may not be. So i am wondering - should I try and switch our ADR's to a later time - if i am able to get a reasonabvle slot? My hsband has type one diabetes and needs to eat and take his insulin on a regular schedule so we can't eat too late ... or should I keep them as is - knowing we may be anywhere from 15-30 minutes late. I half think that seems rude - and then i half think it's not a big deal since it's buffest style and they certainly won't be holding a table for us - and i don't think they would think anything of making us wait 15-30 minutes past our ADR time.
So what do they do if you're late? is there a chance i could lose our ADR altogether?

Yes, there is a chance you could lose out on your reservation (since it's not an actual reservation, but Call-Ahead Seating Extreme).

You should try to change your reservation, maybe a half hour later.

At Boma it probably would not be a problem. Notice I said 'probably'. We have seen people turned away at Le Cellier and also at Chef Mickey's for being late. I believe they will hold your ADRs for 15 minutes though.

OP, I would call & see how long they hold your place or try to change. I know when at Rose & Crown we were waiting to eat & two people were 20 minutes late & they refused to seat them. I guess it depends on the place. But in real life best to call dining to see what will happen if you are late or if you can change. I not sure but 5 minutes might be ok but why chance it?

We ate at Boma's about the same time and on a Monday. Boma's first opens up at 4:30, so there is a line to check in. Plus people were just walking up and they were accommodating them. The resturant really wasn't busy, so you should be okay. I think if it would be 6-and beyond it would be a problem.

My family of six (difficult to ADR) was 1/2 hour late for a Ohana Stitch breakfast with no problem and a friend and I were 1 hour early for LeCellier lunch also no problem......

Most places seemed to have MANY empty tables (due, I believe, to no shows).

for a 6PM Rose & Crown ressie (DD was auditioning for Disney). I went to Guest Services & they said "So sad, but too bad!" Went to the hostess desk at R & C & they couldn't have been nicer! We didn't get there until 7:45 and they sat us immediately.
