Has anyone ever flown into Orlando and landed at around 12:04 am?

Our flight is scheduled to land then and our resort resies are at the poly.

I was wondering what time we could expect to be at our resort since we are meeting family when we check in.

If you take 417 it will take you about 1/2 hr. to get to the resort. Your bags at that hour should be on the carousel or take about 10 mins.

Are you renting a car? That would add some time.

No, we will probably be taking Mears

How many people are in your party? You may want to consider a limo service which will pick you up and offer personal service. Especially at that time of night. Round trips are about $90-$100. Might I also suggest you start out your stay at the All Stars for your first night? There is no reason to pay that much for the Polynesian when you'll be getting into Disney well after 1:00 AM. The luggage faries at the All Stars will pick your bags up from your room and deliver them to the Polynesian while you go to the parks and play :). Your bags should be delivered by the afternoon.

We arrived at midnight a couple of months ago and were at the Poly just after 12:30! It was great. We took a towncar though that was waiting for us. Checkin at the Poly was effortless as we were the only ones there and the one guy working had a stack of about 4 portfolios for people they were waiting on all ready...he just pulled mine out of the group! We were eating pizza at the pool just after 1AM...fun night.

Are you sure you want to take Mears?

I had a friend take a late night Mears trip. She saw ALL of Orlando LOL! They waited until the van was full and since they had just a few passengers they didn't organize by destination. It was quite a tour. Plan on an hour at least. (I think her trip took two hours!)

I, too, would skip Mears. We typically arrive in Orlando after midnight and either use Happy Limo or a rental car. With Happy, we're always on our way immediately. With the rental cars, it depends. Even late at night, I've encountered 45 min. to an hour lines (usually that's with Alamo). Otherwise, the rental car is usually fast too.

One trip we were scheduled to land at 11:30pm, but the flight was late. We landed at 1am. Luckily I had planned to spend the first night at the Hyatt that is in MCO, so I could take the kids upstairs to bed while DH got the luggage. Then we drove out to the Poly the next morning well rested.

I'd love a check-in like this!

What kind of price range are the Non Mears options? Rental Car is probably out of the question. Don't really need a car the whole trip. It would mainly be just to take us to our resort and we only have 2 in our party.

As I said in my post above, limos are about $90-$100 RT. You can get a limo one-way and take Mears home or you can rent a car from National for one day and return it to the Car Care Center near the MK or the Dolphin. Take a few minutes and page through the Transportation Board and you'll get names of limo companies. Also, Thrifty has a great deal: $79 per week for an Economy car using code AU02.

For 2 people Mears is the cheapest way to go BUT it may take up to 2 hours to get to the POLY. You MAY have to wait 30-60 minutes for Mears to fill a van and then another 30-60 minutes to get to your resort. Although it's about a 30 minute drive you may be making stops.
