We have an 8:30 dinner booked at CRT, are not on DDP, paying cash out of pocket for all meals. The issue is unless we can get our ressie earlier this will be a really late night for the kids and they will most likely already have had dinner hours before and would only want a snack or dessert while dh and I order our meals.

We're fully expecting the adults dinners to be rack rate (55-60ish pp) during Presidents week, but for the kids will we be paying the 35-40ish for them or just for what they order off the menu?

We're certainly going to try to get a dinner at a more reasonable hour, but since this is our last day at WDW it would also be a very magical way to wrap up the trip. :goodvibes

CRT is a fixed price.

You will pay the full price for each person even if they don't eat anything at all.

You don't order off the menu except to the extent that you pick one of a small selection of entrees, appetizer, etc. Nothing is individually priced - it's a package deal.

Excellent! So it will end up being a $250 dinner for DH and I. :rotfl2: We budgeted for it anyhow, was just hoping it wouldn't be the case!

LOL! At first I thought you really meant excellent! :confused3 About a millisecond later I caught the sarcasm!

I do know what you mean though - my kids at 8 and 10 still barely eat anything on vacation. I do like you - we just budget for it and I try not to think about it at all! We did $140 or so for the Akershaus breakfast last year and are planning CRT for lunch this year - $165 pre-paid.

The best so far was the luau at the Poly -- DH was really really sick that day - he ate rice and a piece of bread, DD ate a roll and about 2 bites of salad, DS ate 2 hot dogs that the waitress brought him. $210. I tried really really hard to enjoy my dinner and we all liked the show. :rotfl:

OMG Please let that NOT be the case for us for this vacation!!! :rotfl2:

We have Ohana, Akershurs, Donalds Breakfast, and CRT (and a few others) planned for this trip... so help me anyone gets sick or lives off bread my dh will never let me book an ADR again!!! As it is he doesn't understand why we need to since when we used to go before we could walk up to any of them and be seated in 15 minutes (yeah it's been a while...) :lmao: The good news is we have the cash ready from craigs list and a yard sale to pay for all the ADR meals so these little indulgences isn't with funding we need to stress over. I'll just feel better if my kids eat like pigs those days. :rolleyes1

Sweet. Was able to book 8:10 AM for the 17th so get to cancel my 8:30 dinner - MUCH better! :thumbsup2

Well that's good news - now no snacking in the room before breakfast! Gotta get your $$'s worth! Have a great time.
