Late Dinner Seating and Pirates Night

If we have the late dinner seating assigned, will we miss the pirates night activities?

You may miss the very beginning of the Pirate Deck party which starts at, I believe, 9:45 Pm....late dinner usually gets out about 10:00 if you stay for dessert, but skip dessert that night and head out of dining room early.

Someone please correct me if the pirate night deck party starts at a different time...that was when it started on our last cruise.

no you won't miss it all of it just the very beginning maybe, but if you eat to slow you might, my dad and I had late night seating on our April 23, 2005 Western 7 night cruise and my dad went to dinner that night, and got out 5 mins before it started, I didn't go to dinner that night, b/c I had a big lunch that day and wasn't hungry, so I just had chicken fingers at like 4:30 and was good

You shouldn't miss much of anything..unless your servers are very slow. Just skip dessert that night..there is plenty to eat at the buffet up on deck.

We had late seating on the 6/11. Our servers were hustling that night and encouraging us not to miss the Pirate party. But additionally, there was a short "Pirate parade" by the servers in the dining room, towards the end of dinner time, that we stayed to watch. After that we went immediately to decks 9 &10. The music had already started, but I don't think we missed much, if anything. We got there before Capt. Hook & Mr. Smee appeared, and it wasn't so crowded yet that we couldn't find a good place to stand/dance.

We had the late seating and we did not miss any of the pirate night. I had time to take DS to the club and still make it.

On our 6/11 we didn't get out of dinner til 10:15 every night. So we were in a panic we would miss the fireworks. The show does start at 9:45 and we could not see much of it by the time we got up there as it was packed! Didn't miss the fireworks though.
Next time I would just skip dessert, because I think the big dessert buffet was that night also.

We were on the 6/16 three-night cruise. We had late seating and were in Parrot Cay for Pirate night. We finished dinner and even had time to go to our stateroom to change. We didn't miss anything! The fireworks were beautiful!

for dizneefreak29; what time was your late seating? I know the new staggered time for late seating are 8:00, 8:15 and 8:30? Did you like the new rotation time?

We were on the late dinner for our cruise in May and we didn't miss a thing from Pirates Night! It was FUN!!!

Thanks for all the replies. I still hope we get moved to the earlier seating time but at least we won't miss the festivities.
