Late Deal in School hols

Hi guys
Last June we got a really cracking deal on a week in florida - we booked about 10 days before we went.
We are looking at sneaking in another 7 day trip this year but the dates we are available fall in school hols - my question is has anyone had a really good deal by leaving it late before you book, but gone during school hols?
Do you think my chances are slim?

I have never seen late deals in the school holidays in fact the flights usually get fully booked weeks out. We have looked at bnooking at short notice before for then and failed to find flights.
