We are going to WL this Feb.
The children usually need afternoon naps and we are staying late on the last day to see the Illuminaions show at EPCOT.
My question is: Do the Disney resorts allow for a late checkout?
If so, how late?
What do they charge?

if available the latest would be 1pm for free. 1-3pm half roomate rate and after 3pm full rate.

Sometimes they will give you 12 instead of 1 for free. I've gotten 1 a couple times, 12 once and also been turned down. One of the problems with the free late checkout is that they usually won't authorize it until the day before.

You do have use of the all the facilities of your resort all day. Going to the pool is not as good as a nap, but at least it's a diversion. Most of the resorts have seating in the lobby, too.

we asked for a late checkout at POR the night before we left, and the CM said absolutely not, it was not available "FOR US and our RATE." i thought that was odd, so the next morning and went to the front desk and told the CM I needed a late checkout and he gladly said yes, and gave me till noon instead of 11am. if i pushed it i could have gotten 1pm. i dont think they will give you any later than 1pm for free though.

Any experience with late check-out at the DVC resorts, one way or the other?

(edit just to correct embarassing spelling error.)

The WDW DVC resorts do not offer late check outs. Sorry.

Best wishes -
