Late Check out Pop

We are staying at Pop in July. Would you advise requesting a late check out when we book in or prior to our arriving. Have you any idea of the cost. Thanks

I don't know the exact cost but when I looked into it in 2010, it was almost another night's cost to stay about 3-4 hours.
It was INSANE!!

We just said forget it, wasn't worth it. We checked out and checked our bags with the resort and went out to DTD for the afternoon.

We just stayed there. If the room is available they will let you keep it until 1:00 pm at no extra cost. I believe he told me that I would be charged for 1/2 day if I wanted to keep the room until 3 or 4 (can't remember which, sorry). I decided it wasn't worth it and had them hold my carry-on luggage at luggage assistance.

It can be a bit hit and miss from my experience. We fly out in the evening so I always ask for a late check out but you can only request this a couple of days before you depart. We have been given a 1 pm check out, a 2 pm check out (there was no charge for this - it was in 2009 at ASMu) and last year we were given a 12 noon check out time.

I've always gotten a 1pm check-out at POP without a charge. I'm pretty sure they have showers/locker room area so if you need to shower somewhere after 1pm, you might want to pack a small bag and keep it with you so you don't have to get it out of baggage storage. We just got back from POFQ on Mon and saw a fam waiting outside for DME at 3am on early Monday morning (6am flight I'm guessing!) and for that, I would have booked another night's room if my DME was that late/early.

Every time I've done a late check-out, I've had to call Mousekeeping the day before, they will put you on hold, and then come back to say if you are able to stay or not. I've never had a problem at all different resort levels except OKW (on points from a friend) and was told that bc I was not DVC I could not get the late check-out but if I were DVC I could have had the room till 12pm..we haven't gone back there lol.
