Late check out at DLH?

Hiya,

My flight leaves LAX at midnight so I won't be leaving Disney until around 8pm. Do you think there's any chance Disney would give us a late check out until say 1pm? If not, would you book an extra night to have the convenience of a room or would you entertain yourself elsewhere? Part of me wants to hang out by the pool but i'm a bit cautious because everything will be packed and it will be awkward to pack wet swimsuits etc!

We had a late flight too on our last trip. We checked out in the morning, sent all our stuff to Bell Services and headed to the parks. The desk gave us a pool pass key for the day. Later in the day we came back to the pool area ordered a pizza and relaxed for a few hour before we left for the airport. About 30 minutes before we planned to head to the airport, we picked our things up from Bell Services and they called us a taxi.
No need to pay for an extra day.
As far as the wet suits, we took gallon ziplock bags to put them in and stashed them in one of the bags. The pool area has a really nice changing room.

They will not guarantee you a late check out...or even tell you that is is a possibility until the morning of your scheduled departure. Trust me, I have tried may times. You can get 1pm if they are not booked up but it is rare. Usually it is no dice. There is however a "half day" rate that is not published or advertised. Reservations will not do it...only the front desk. I wanna say it was till at least 4 or 5 pm if I remember right for half the room rate.

Bell desk will store all your bags. You could just check your bags and keep a small backpack with a change of clothes with ya. Take the laundry bag outta the hotel room to toss your wet clothes and pack back in your bag when done.
