Late check out at AKL

Is it possible to arrange this or does it cost too much?

My car won't be arriving until about 4ish.

Disney Resorts do not offer a late checkout. (I've asked)

They do offer to store your bags at the bellstation. At all the resorts you have the use of your hotel pool until the end of the day. Also, your charging privileges are good throughout the day, as well as, all Disney transportation.

At AKL there is a restroom with shower facilities at the pool . It is next to Mara's. They also have lockers there to store your gear - for a nominal fee.

So have fun - and do not stress over 'late checkout' - relax and enjoy yourself!

I got a late check out at AKL, but the latest they could give me was 12 pm. As 1HourAway said, you could have them hold your bags past that time and enjoy the resort until it was time to leave.

When we were there in June we were told it is available for a fee (can't remember how much) but only if there are rooms available. It did not work for us because they were full. As it turned out we left our luggage with bell services, rented a locker for some of the small items and spent the day in the parks. When we returned to the resort at around 6:00 p.m. we were glad we couldn't get the room, because we were fine without it.

Well that all sounds like a perfect idea - and is making me more excited about how much more fun I can have on my last day.

We also did that on our last day at AKL. We had a car, so we just put our stuff in, but we spent all morning at the pool, then used the showers and dressed for our drive home. It was fine and we were also glad we hadn't tried to pay for a room.

We asked the day before and received a 1 p.m. check out on Friday, Nov. 15. Just ask.

Thanks for the info guys. I am hoping to take my DD for a quick trip in June for just three days and will try for late check out but think we'll do ok without it. I prefer to take a late afternoon flight home. Want to stretch those three days as much as I can!

My understanding of the official policy is that late checkout up till 1pm may be avaiable but it is on a checkout day basis depending on how booked up the resort is. It is random and cannot/should not be counted on.

If you "need" to stay past 1pm my understanding is that this is also based on how booked up the resort is you can stay late for a fee but the fee is based on the time you are looking to stay. This is also random and cannot/should not be counted on.
