Late breakfast ADR at Akershus???

Has anyone had the last ADR for breakfast at Akershus?? I have an 11:10 am breakfast ADR (more brunch and yes I verified it is breakfast that late).

How is the character interaction at this time? How is the food?

Also my DH and DS are huge breakfast eaters. I know it's family style buffet. Can I ask for a second platter if we want more food???

we had a late breakfast last year think our appt was at 10:30 but did not get seated till nearly 11:00. (if i remember right) the characters were all over the place we got to see all of them not a problem!

the family style you get sausage, eggs, bacon, and hashbrown cassserole (i think)......YES! you can have as much as you want! the HB casserole is AWSOME!!! there is also a buffet with fruits etc... one thing to mention while we were there they started changing over to lunch on the buffet we felt rushed at the end like they wanted us to leave.... then they bring around the pictures they took of the group when we came in EXPENSIVE!!!!! But once OuR princess saw them we HAD to have them!

We liked it and there were SO many princesses... we saw Belle, Mulan, Jasmine, snow white and I think Aurora??? Lots of fun and interaction!!!

We ate at the Princess Breakfast last October. Our reservation was for 10:15. Note -- even though we were there early we were not seated until after our reservation time. We had our photos taken with Belle and then escorted to our seats. The breakfast food was AWESOME! The fruit and pastries were on the buffet, you got platters of the eggs, meats and hashbrown casserole to share at the table and you could ask your server for more platters of food as needed. You might want to check what time they switch over to lunch food on the buffet, as they were changing over when we were getting ready to leave. They moved the fruit/pastries over to the side and stopped replenishing these as we were preparing to leave. My guess is that since you are "scheudled" for breakfast you will be able to get more platters of breakfast food but you might want to check on that in advance -- in case you need to "stock up" before they make the change to lunch!
Also our photos with Belle were included in our breakfast, I think that they did not use to include these but now they are included like CRT's. Because we had 9 in our party we got 3 poses, and they gave us some extra smaller photos of each pose to share!
Enjoy -- that breakfast is on our definite "to-do" list when we go back this fall!

we paid like $36 for that picture.... man do I feel like I got ripped off ... we were there last April!!!!


Anyways, I would go back but DH didn't like the food at all (he is tooo picky)

I'm thinking of bumping it up to 10 am just in case. I know my DS and DH love breakfast. It's their favorite meal and it's our only breakfast ADR all week.

Our ressie was in October 2008 at 10:35 and when we got there, the buffet was only half filled. I thought they were going to refill it, but they did not. They were cleaning it off to get ready for lunch. We saw Belle and got our pictures taken. Once we were seated all of the princess (Mulan, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine) hurried up to see us. Unfortunately, they did not stay long and NEVER returned to our table. I think we were the last to be seated and then they went off on a break. We even stayed around until 11:30 (20 minutes after we finished eating) to see if they would return. But they did not. We finally left feeling like we were ripped off on that character meal.

Thanks for the info. I just switched it to 9:50 am. 11:10 am was the last breakfast seating of the day (they must have extended the times) and that's the time our ressie was.

I was the last seating at Tusker House last year and it was awesome!

This isn't the first time that I've heard that the last seating at Akershus breakfast wasn't that good so I guess it's better I changed it.

I think you should be good for 9:50 AM! Glad that you got it moved. Since it's your only breakfast ADR I think you picked a great one! (DH raves about the hash brown casserole all the time )

We have dinners the rest of the week and one lunch at CRT. I just couldn't bring myself to try Akershus dinner!

We were there last week for a late breakfast (10:25 ADR). When we were leaving at around 11:45, they were switching the food on the buffet to the lunch selection. I would recommend that your kids have a question or two to ask the princesses because you get better interaction that way. My daughter was a mute and they took a quick picture and ran. (I can't blame them though, she gave them nothing to work with)
