Late Arrival MultiPass Strategy

Are there any late arrival MultiPass strategy? The days of stacking are over so I am now debating if the purchase is even worth it. We are at Disney from 10/31-11/8 and have a few late entry to give the kids some rest (Wife's rules....). Also, MNSSHP (10/31), TT 3.0 reopening, and AK (Zootopia premier) is making my second guess my typical plan of early booking and grabbing the earliest Tier 2 as possible plan. :)

No real strategy exists. If you are doing a late arrival day you had best be okay with ONLY getting on your prebooked 3 rides plus a few lower tier (tier 2) rides on your LL for the day. Most of the best Tier 1 rides sell out early at EPCOT and HS. Remy, Frozen, Slinky, etc.

Are there any late arrival MultiPass strategy?
Sure just book your first Tier 1 / 2 for when you think you can get the family to the park, and book (2) Tier 2 attractions for any time after you plan to arrive. If you bother to purchase LLMP you always want to book all 3 since it is faster to modify an exiting LLMP.

Also practice the Refresh process and be aware of the additional drops of LLMP return times for your afternoon time frame for select attractions. It can work very well.

i believe I get up to 2 hours after end time to use the pass so if I book at 9am, I just need to ride by 11am. The negative is I can’t get additional passes till 11am when I ride? What happens if one doesn’t use the pass? There is no longer a 2 hour window

You only have 199 minutes to tap in at a 9 AM LLMP. If you tap in after that you will get a Blue Mickey ring and the CM will decide if you are allowed on.

You can't get a replacement LLMP until you enter the park, and tap in to one of your LLMP 3 initial selections to unlock Tiers, and enable

9-10AM pass means 199 minutes starting at 9AM, correct?

How does replacement LLMOP work if I am in the park. For example, in the above scenario, I get a LLMP for 10AM after I tap into the 9AM. If I DONT tap into the 10AM LLMP, I get 199 minutes but what happens if I NEVER use it? Is it forfeited?

10-12PM. Epcot and HS.
I'd say def. not worth it for Epcot. - We just did this today arrived and tapped into our first fast pass a Lil before 10 and had 0 luck getting Frozen or Remy (despite spending in total about 45 mins throughout the day attempting to get either) and certainly didn't need fastpasses for the others (we rode them all, but there was basically no wait for them and actually us stopping to scan in put us behind ppl who went into standby the same time we did in soarin, living with land and figment...didn't pay attention on Nemo but it was a walkon. We essentially paid however much it was today for just test track...not worth it.

Dhs if you're ok with just getting ur 3 preselected it might be worth it?

The return window is 60 minutes with a 5 minute advance grace period and a 119 minute late grace period for a total window of 184 minutes. In your example, Mickey will turn green from 8:55 until 11:59 am.

We’ve used passes 4 and 5 hours outside of the window and were told that as long as the pass was still active in our account it was still valid.

In my experience, unused passes stayed in our account until sometime after midnight.

This is excellent information. At 12:00PM, Mickey turns blue but the CM 'should' let me through, correct?

In the above scenario, I couldn't select another LL until I scan into it but what happens if I just don't use it. For example, if I have a 1PM PoC and I just ignore it, I would only be able to keep a MAX 2 LLs (subject to availability) due to the lack of 2 hour rule. Am I following?

The two hour rule is long gone. The rule now is that you can have up to three multi passes at a time and you can get another one each time you use one.

In your PoC example, that one should stay in your account for the rest of the day or until you eventually use it. You can still use and replace your other two passes until you run out of options. In either case, your Max number of passes is always three.

This is surprising. On a recent visit, we had a LLMP for Test Track at 9:30. I was then able to get Frozen at 1, Remy at 4 and RnR at 2.

We hit the late morning lull at Remy just before noon. The posted wait was 25 minutes with an actual wait of just over 10 minutes. I then rolled the Remy pass over to Tiana’s for about the same time.

Not a bad day except it was brutally hot.

I'd check Thrill Data day of sell out times to set realistic expectations: https://www.thrill-data.com/lightning-lane/wdw

Changes and drops do happen, but on average FEA and Remy have been initially selling out earlier than the past monthly average. It makes sense considering Columbus Day is around the corner and the fall crowds are coming as the weather cools down.

This makes sense. In my scenario, I'd have the long-expired pass (doesn't it disappear from the app?) that would prevent me from getting another but at least I could use it long down the road. It might make sense for me to still get LLMP even if I arrive at 11AM as I'd already have 3 but would simply miss out on a few hours of additional passes. At the end of the day, it's just money which I can make but I can't create time.

Yeah, we've had much better luck in the past, but just could not get anything yesterday. Not sure if just a super busy day but definitely felt like such a waste yesterday.

Yes you are there during this busy holiday weekend for Columbus Day / Indigenous Peoples' Day. Normal LL patterns will be off.
