Late arrival and ME

Hello everyone,

We will be landing in Orlando around 8PM on Thanksgiving Day. I want to use ME, but I am concerned about how we will get our luggage at this late hour. How do they deliver it to your room if it's late at night. We get up early to go to the parks, so I hate to have to wait around for the bell hops in the morning. Has anyone experienced this? Should we just pick up and carry our bags onto the ME bus? Thanks.

They haven't been taking long to deliver the luggage to the rooms so I would say unless you plan on going to bed early you would have your luggage. You should pack a carry on bag that has some of your stuff so you can get going in the morning in case your bag isn't delivered. You could also just pick up your luggage at the baggage carousel and take it on the ME bus with you.

If you want to have your luggage delivered the next morning, you don't need to "wait around for the bell hops in the morning." Disney pays the inbound bell service gratuity, so you don't have to be in the room when the luggage is delivered.

ME doesn't consider 8 pm a late arrival. They will continue to collect luggage and deliver to the resort until about 11 pm. That is the situation that we are in - our flight arrives at 11:20 pm. They told us to go ahead and use the yellow tags, but that the luggage would NOT be collected behind the carousel - we would have to retrieve it ourselves, and bring it to the Welcome Center. They would load it under the bus that we are travelling on, so that we wouldn't have to wait for in-room delivery.

Arriving at 8 - ME will pick up your checked bags, and as soon as you check in for your bus ride - they will put them on a van to go to the resort. Meanwhile, you will be brought to the resort on a coach bus. When you arrive, you will check in - and lately people have been checking in within 1 - 1 1/2 hours after arrival! So - you should be in your room by 9:30. I would expect your luggage to be delivered by 10:30 at the latest.

If you don't want your luggage delivered - just don't use the yellow tags. Then when you get off the plane - go to baggage claim, get your bags yourself, and bring them to the bus. then they will travel with you to the resort - no delivery required!
