My husband and I have our trip planned for the last week of April.
When we first planned this I didn't think it was going to be that crowded since Easter was in March and the resorts are then on Regular season.
Well, I'm starting to get scared since I keep hearing how busy it is going to be. When thinking about dates we didn't think the first week of May would be good since on the 5th it would start the 50th for DisneyLand etc.... Thought there would be high crowds with the opening of new attractions.
If we can change our dates (airline, resort)to the first week in May do you think we should?
We have no children so that's not an issue.
Yikes ! What would you do?

I wouldn't change it. We were there the last week of April this year and it was right after Easter.

The crowds were NOT that bad at all. With Fastpass, and being at the parks when they opened we walked right onto almost every attraction.

I agree that you shouldn't change the dates. We have gone down the last week of April three times in the last four years. Its our favorite time to go.
Crowds are not that bad at all.

We always go around that time and lines are bad. Yes you are going to wait sometimes but it is Disney. Don't forget to check out Epcot...the Flower Fest is great! I can't imagine going to Epcot when it wasn't going on.

I would keep your dates. I think with the introduction of the new E-Ride Nights you should have the opportunity to ride just about everything. Just use Early Entry and the new E-Ride Nights. The parks are open 3 hours after the scheduled close.
