Late ADR Questions

We just made adrs for 1900 Park Fair for 8:25. This was the only time available for any of the days we will be there.

My questions is, has anyone every had a late character meal? Are you rushed? Did your children do ok with eating so late? Are the characters grumpy by then?

Anyones experience or story would be greatly appreciated.

I think it depends on your individual kids. How do your kids do eating late? I have a 4 and 2 year old and amazingly the 2 year old can eat late and stay up late no problem. The 4 year old needs her rest and her food in most situations. We do have two late dinners scheduled for our upcoming trip but they are the most likely ones we'll cancel if we can get something earlier or find decent CS earlier in the evening.

We LOVED our late dinner at Park Faire!! The place was maybe filled about 30% when we got there, but by the time we left (we were there till the end when the characters made their exit) it was maybe 15% filled. We were not rushed at all, we had some of them come back several times and talk to the kids, they danced around the place, it was so much fun! So much so, that I purposely booked for late again, I think this time we're there for 8:25 as well. I have a friend who has been there earlier and she mentioned that there was no dancing or anything like that, so I thought maybe we got a little extra show since the characters were bored but still had to be out there, lol.

They do check to make sure everyone has come by before they retire them for the night. I saw waitresses going to each table left to ask had they seen everyone, and for the tables that were missing any characters they went back to see them.
