late ADR for Sci-Fi

Right now I have an ADR for Sci-Fi at 6:45pm. On the calendar it says HS closes at 7:00pm.

How does that work? Are we still eating when the park closes down. Are you kind of rushed through your meal?
Sometimes ADRs can take 40 meals or so (if you get dessert).

What about bus transport? Will we still be able to take the bus back to the resort?

We have done that on a couple of occasions. Love it. We were not rushed and on the way out had a few great opps for picture taking. How many times can u get a night time shot in front of the big hat with nobody else in sight? The busses and boats go for an hour and a half past closing so you should be fine.

They'll just let you keep eating, they won't rush you. That should be really cool! I love the Sci-Fi Drive-In.

It takes quite a while for the park to clear out after closing. Remember that people are allowed to line up for a ride right until closing time....even if the wait was 90 minutes.

You will be just fine at SciFi....they are usually pretty quick with the food anyway.

Not to highjack this thread, but...I have a similar question. We have a 7:15 at 50s PT when the studios closes at 7:00. Will we be rushed? Will the servers not be bothered with antics, since it's closing time?

I've had late reservations at Prime Time (and Liberty Tree over in MK) and I love them! They don't rush you at all, just because the park is closed, doesn't mean the restaurant is. It's so nice to come out to an almost empty park and grab a few more moments without the crowds.

In the Magic Kingdom, a server will walk you up to the castle after hours because they really like to clear the back of the park as soon as possible, but I've hung around DHS for at least an hour after closing taking pictures and just enjoying it with no problem. And the buses still run for a while.
