Late ADR for Crystal Palace?

So my family now wants to see Pooh and the gang at the Crystal Palace, but all the 8am slots are full. So has anyone eaten there really late, like 10:30am? Is the buffet still fine? I managed to find a 8:20am slot later in the week, but it the morning after we see the Hoop-dee-Doo review show and I worry my gang will not be up for such an early large meal. Thanks!!!!

I love going at 10:30. The restaurant is clearing out and you usually get extra time with the characters. And the food keeps coming out as long as there are people there. There were even a couple of times when we were able to eat some of the lunch buffet food as well as the breakfast buffet because they started the switch a little too early!

I've read so many people say that the food is cold and not fresh later in the morning at CP, so I'm glad to hear boltfan say otherwise.

That's our new favorite time to go. We do rope drop and get a couple hours of rides in and then do the late breakfast. It really clears out starting at 11 and we have never had an issue with food.

This is what we have done and are doing again in May. We have had the last sitting for buffets many times and have never had an issue with cold or depleted food. They will keep bringing out breakfast until it's time for them to start to switch over for lunch. With other buffets where it is breakfast with no lunch or it's a dinner buffet, even if there is just 2 or 3 tables still sitting food is always brought out until everyone is finished. While you will be a breakfast ADR, you are allowed to try out lunch items, if you are still hungry when it comes out.

In my experience the food will be hot and they keep it coming out. It might not be all breakfast options as they start switching to you around this time. One trip I made 11:00 ADR's for CP, knowing that we would be having a late night the evening before, so this gave us a sleep in morning. I did have some quick breakfast items in the room, so no-one was "starving". Once seated, DD asked about pancakes and the server said sorry we have switched to lunch. She was completely okay with the answer. So we headed for the buffet, DD said Mom next time lets come for breakfast so I can have mickey pancakes. I was, okay we will. We headed back to our table and a few minutes later one of the chefs came over with a special Mickey pancake... PIXIE DUST . While we did not expect it or even think it was possible. It was so nice and thoughtful.

Thanks so much everyone!!! Using Touringplans, I actually got an 8:20am ADR at CP for the first day we are in the parks. But after reading all your advice I think I will cancel that early one and just enjoy the breakfast later in the week. Do other folks agree? I plan to get the entire family out for rope drop and we also have BOG ADR at 11:30am that same day.

I think that's a great idea! I like a late seating at CP because we can sleep in a bit, as well.
