Late ADR @ Chef Mickey's>>

We will be dining at Chef Mickey's w/ an ADR of 9:05

My question is>> as with many buffet style restaurants, will the food be cold, almost gone, dried out, etc by th etime we sit to eat OR does Chef Mickey's keep rotating pans, food stays hot, fresh and moist until they close?
What time do they close?

I thought I got a great ADR time for us as we usually eat late at home due to work schedules- This time frame is just a bit later but we'll be at Disney so the kids will have a "lunch" around 4 PM, the snacks in between and plenty of activity up to our ADR and after we will take in some fireworks, take advantage of EMH or walk around DTD before we head in for the night- No big deal until I thought of will the food still be good?

It's been almost 2 years since our last trip but we had a late ADR at CM and had no problems.

We had 8:45 pm and I was really nervous about it. It was our first night but it worked out great, no waiting at all, food was hot and kept coming out. If there is something you want and it looks low or cold ask and they go out of their way to bring it to you. Hint: Ask nicely to sit in the main dining room not on the side. More action and more fun in my opinion. Also, the characters were great no rushing from table to table. Don't worry but get there on time or even a little earlier. Have a great time!

They refresh those pans of food so often, there's no need to worry. The food is excellent. If you're going to be going that late, try going on a night with Extra Magic Hours in the Magic Kingdom so you can still hit up the park after you've eaten.
