I found a new souvenier that was a monorail magnet. What are some of the neat souveniers you pick up?

Last year I got Dumbo coffee mugs. I collect elephants so am always on the lookout to add to my collection. For the most part, Dumbo seems to be the forgotten character. Very little merchandise devoted to Dumbo. Anyway, I smile every morning when I drink my coffee, thinking about the Magical Kingdom.

I have a stuffed Jiminy Cricket I bought at my one and only trip to DL. Glad I did. I haven't seen one in any of my latest trips to DW. :flower:

In May I bought the 50th celebration afghan/throw- it has cinderella's castle all decorated in gold. It looks nice on my bed. I also have the monorail magnet.

My boyfriend LOVES his Jack Skellington pen that he got a MK a few years ago. I love my Monsters Inc lithograph of Sully and Boo in front of her door. I can't wait to see what else I can pick up again when we go in October!

I also picked up some of the monorail magnets last year and love them!!! DW and I have one in our kitchen and I have one in my office. I have a couple of Disney Souvey traditions that I do every year.....One is I get a pressed penny with mickey on it the last night of my Disney trip and when I return the next year I throw it in one of the fountains at a disney park the last night right after purchasing my new one.....this way Mickey brings me Disney magic all year. Another tradition is that I buy a new Disney keychain and use it all year until my next trip when I swap it out for a new one. These are silly traditions I have established but, they give me something to remind me that my next trip to Disney isn't far away. Also the exchanging of the pennies and throwing the old one into the fountain is really exciting....last year I threw it into the big fountain at epcot and just watching that penny fly up there amongst those shooting fountains was a really cool memory. :wave2:

We always pick up Christmas ornaments. SOmetimes with the year on and sometimes just something we each like. We almost forgot last time and we ran into a shop in Epcot to get some. They only had a boxed set and since it had 4 I bought it. When we got back to our room we realized that they were the same 4 characters that were on our passes for the week.

Like Babar41, I collect elephants. I have a business card holder with an elephant on it that I bought two years ago at AK. It sits on top of my desk at the office. Unfortunately, it also falls off of there quite often, and now it's a three-legged elephant!

I also have a carved elephant-head walking stick that my son bought me two years ago while we were visiting at AKL. I have very bad arthritis in my back and my knees, and I use it every time I have a flare-up. It's been dropped, broken, glued, scratched and I still love it!

I've got that pen! :sunny:

My favorite souveniers have been the stuffed Mickeys and Minnies dressed like characters from The Haunted Mansion. So far I've found a butler Micky, grave digger Mickey and maid Minnie. They're so cute! They also have a really cute line of cast member characters, like security Goofy, monorail driver Minnie and K9 patrol Pluto.

Haven't been yet for the 50th, but I can't wait to see what kind of neat souveniers they've got.
