Hi everyone. I hope you can help me. Last year when i went to HHN. THere was a walk through in a cave, with water as walls. The ride was only used for HHN. So it was closed during daily operations. So, I never got to see this attraction, in its normal setting. My question is this. What is that ride, like. I thought it was so cool. The water on the sides. But, can anyone tell me is this a fun ride, when it is in normal operational mode. TIA

I believe you're refering to Posideon's Fury in the Lost Contient section of Islands.
It was sort of like a tunnel of water that you walked through?
I love that effect...the show has changed several times over the years, and although I don't think the current version is their best, I'd definitly suggest you visit...It's fun, air conditioned, and there's usually not much of a wait...I think it's worth it just for the tunnel :)

Poseidon's Fury is a LOT of fun! It is a show, not a ride, with mystery and intrigue and lots of fun effects. I agree the current version isn't *the best*, but it's still really cool. Hard to explain, but worth a visit.

it's an attraction you should see at least once.

on one trip i stayed at hrh for 6 nights and did that attraction on the day before i left for the aiport.

it wasn't bad at all. different. it had it's good points.

Thank you all for the post!!
Poseidons fury. I will definately check it out! Thanks again!!

Hiya Macraven  Long time no type. I assume you are going to HHN this year. I am skipping it. I was so disappointed in it. I went on the night prior to hurricane Wilma whipping through, and it was just a big wet mess. I did all of the houses, though. The scariest one, to me was the one with the extremly tall man in a white mask/face. Yikes, that scared me bad. But, I was brave. I stayed until 20 minutes before closing. I dont know, maybe I will give it another shot. The hurricane just put a damper on my views of it. I mean my jeans were soaked to my britches. lol Alot of people said it is much scarier when all the scareactors are out. Of course, they couldnt be out in all that rain though. I know in no way is it Universal' fault. I even discovered they were reissuing tickets to us guest caught in it. I just learned of this though a month ago. :confused3 Maybe I will try again. In 2009. Iffin, I can find a partner to go with. Well take care and have fun on your vacation!!

Yeah its weird the first time I went back in either 99 or 2000, I loved the show, then the next year when I came back it was totally differnet and not as good, I was thinking why did they change it? They should take it back to the original version, it was the best.

faindrops.........NOOOOOOOOOOO

don't skip it this year.

come on the second weekend when i am.

i'm meeting up with a few i have met on the dis at universal forums.

it's gonna be a good one you miss if you don't come.

i'll even go to walmart and pick up the cheapo, crapo, 59 cent rain poncho for you........ :teeth:

i go yearly.........i'm addicted to hhn. :smokin:

I wouldn't be totally surprised if more people skipped this year after they went last year. Last year's event was totally underwhelming, and imo, a weak attempt. BUT, I will go this year hoping that this year will be much better.

i hear ya slacking.

some others have said the same thing as you have.
they were disappointed in last years hhn and don't think they will return.

for me, no way can i miss it.

i'm totally and completely addicted to HHN.
i travel down once a year for it. even if the prior year wasn't the best for me, i still go each year.

hope to see you there. :teeth:

i thought maybe it just felt that way because we went the first weekend, we were done with all the houses in about three hoursr and left after that .. just didnt feel as good as previous years, I did like Bill & Ted since I finally got to see it, usually went with others and never got around to seeing it. I think I'm skipping HHN myself this year, but who knows, I am going during that time though.

foldar, i went the first HNN weekend twice before.

yes, you can get thru the houses a lot quicker.'
on opening weekend, once the local media leaves around 9 on opening night, not bad for crowds.

i book my stay in the late winter time and book my flight from chicago at the same time.

the last two years the way the dates fall on the weekends, i'm leary of booking my room and plane for the first weekend of october.
concerned that HHN might not start up the friday with the way september has carried over to that first weekend the last 2 years.

that's the main reason i have been attending the second weekend in october.
it's a safe bet that i can do all three nights for hhn.

i like that first weekend the best, but the weekend after is fine.
crowds a bit more then but nothing like the end of october. i read how the crowds are huge on some of the final nights.

So the first weekend is normally not as full? Thats good as i cant buy my tickets until we get there, so they shouldn't sell out should they? We can only go on the very first night, the friday.

Nope, it won't sell out generally.

It might not sell out, but remember to buy express passes cuz this year is going to be very popular w/ the whole sixteenth year anniversity.

i have only been going to hhn the last six years and have not heard of the first two weekends selling out.

have heard or epp selling out but not the tix for hhn.
