Last week of March crowds a 10?

Hello. I read in the Unofficial Guide that the last week of March the crowds were rated a 10. The only other week I saw rated this high was Christmas week. It was higher than Easter week, summer, 4th July, etc. Why this week? Is everyone on Spring break that week? I was wondering because we were thinking of that week next year and I wonder if this is usually the busiest spring break week. Thank you so much.

I panicked when I was in Barnes & Noble and I saw that! They have since updated the crowds and best days calendar on the website (touringplans.com). I think they published that when Easter was the last week of March last year. The 10's are usually reserved for Easter week. Hope that helps!

Most colleges and probably 99% of Florida schools are on Spring Break either the 3rd or 4th week of March.

Public schools in our county (Alachua) are out the first week of April. Colleges are out this week.

The entire Chicago area is on spring break that week. We thought about taking our vacation then, but even back in December, I couldn't find ANY decent airfare for that week (and it never got any better - even Southwest was about double what I normally pay for a non-peak time)

We went last year 3rd week in March. We didn't think it was very crowded. Our sons were on Spring Break and it was our first trip.(Did not want to go in the heat of the summer months.) It was the best vacation we ever had. Perfect weather, crowds not bad. We are going last week we leave on Saturday March 25 and get there on the 26. We did not make our reservations until the middle of February and only had to change 1 day. We had originally wanted to come in on Saturday. They had no openings, but by changing to arrival of Sunday got booked for POR, there are 5 of us. Then last week my sons best friend and his mom, brother and grandmother decided to join us. They got in also and we have connecting rooms! I asked the CM on the phone if it was packed for this week and she said no, but the week before (next week) was overflowing. Looks like we got in good. I hope so! 3/26 thru 4/1

We've been to WDW at almost every concievable time during the year. Granted we think the place is more fun crowded (we go at the 4th of July, Spring Break and Christmas), but from our experience, spring break is far less crowded than Christmas or the 4th of July. Overall, however, spring break may be the most crowded for an entire week (the other two aren't as crowded on non-holiday days).

I hope your CM was right. DH and I will be there the same time as you. I expect it to be crowded. But, who cares. I will be on vacation in the most magical place in the world. Hope you have fun. I plan to.

I was worried but I think it will be okay. I heard the most popular weeks were this week and next week so by the time we get there it should be a bit better. I plan to use Tour Guide Mike all the way. Let's all hope for the best!!

Funny! When I checked Disneyworld.com for these dates there were all kinds of available options for resorts.

You may want to change your mind if what everyone over on the resort board says is right!! They say disney turned down their heaters to save energy and the pools are freezing!!!

We will be there that week! Since we survived Christmas at WDW (and actually had a blast!!!), I suspect we will do just fine.
