Last week of February with Dining Plan ... my comments.

The train is tough :) This is our second time (last was in 2013 to get to PCC for a cruise) We got the 940am from So Station to Penn, switched to another that left about 2 hours later, and got to Orlando at about 1230pm the next day. We are not a flying family, so we have always driven - this time though we chose this option because my husband couldn't travel WITH us, and I couldn't do it alone. The pros: bathroom on board, no stopping to interfere with your time, etc. The cons: Can get uncomfortable for all that time, got to deal with other passengers, food is pretty bad. Depending on how many people who are traveling with you, it can be more or less expensive than flying or driving. This particular trip had me looking at flights home - and I've never flown! :) But would I give the train another try? Probably.
Thanks for the details, I will be filing this away mentally for the future. There is no way my 3 year old could handle that! We just booked flights for our summer trip on points, so got them for free. Last year, we drove, and I actually loved it, but my DH does all the driving and said no way again. I would do it myself, BUT we hit a trash can on the highway about 10 minutes from Disney. No harm done, but it was terrifying (large black mass comes flying at the windshield and here is no option but to drive I to it). After that experience, and seeing the horrible highway drivers through the south, I know it would be a bad idea to do the drive without a second adult! We looked at the auto train, but it was a similar cost to flying. Maybe we will look at the regular train someday (I kind of like trains.) I am assuming you have to sleep sitting up, though? I do NOT like that!

great reviews - looking forward to BOG breakfast and lunch. Did you manage to change the no spinach by pre-ordering?
Hoping to finally get to Kona breakfast this trip - we have booked it for the third time but have cancelled it on previous trips

Yes, was able to hold the spinach :)

And I highly recommend Kona .. Everything was excellent, down to the waiter!

Kids usually do better than the grownups! :) they have your attention, are able to get up and walk around, etc. The seats recline and have a foot thing that raises...You could even spring for the sleeper car, which includes meals and has a private bathroom.
