Have there ever been any discounts for the last week of December? I am hoping for an AP discount.

We just booked our rooms and I was shocked at how much was still open. After we got our reservation I started checking other resorts just to see and the only places I couldn't book a room were the Grand Floridian and All Star Music. Everything else had availability and I had my choice of room category at most of them. This is supposed to be their busiest time of the year, but it doesn't seem like they are filling up.

The only discount I know of for the last week of December is through Magical Vacations. They're a travel agency that books blocks of rooms at discount prices. You can not book a dining plan with these rooms. The discounts are around 37% off rack rate but they only have discounts for select room categories at select resorts. Check out their website for more information and contact them for a rate quote if interested in any of the room types available.

The only other way to get a discount that week is to start your vacation on December 17 and continue your vacation through the last week. You can then get free dining for the entire duration of your vacation.

I received a Birthday PIN in July of 40% off room only. I did call right away to apply it as we had a ressie in place, and this would lower our rate. Our plans had to be reschedule form 8/7 to December. When I called to make the change, I was told that the code was valid until 12/31/09, check out of 1/1/10. We have 2 resorts booked as we are doing a split stay and the code is indeed valid for us. I asked if there was a "booked by" date, and CM said no. So if youreceived a Bday pin call and ask if you can still use it. I know we booked right away, so if ther was initailly a "book by" date maybe we a covered sue to that, but it is certainly worth looking into. I know aome people have posted that they did receive the code but if it wasn't for the time of their travel did not ask about it. I wouldn't have either, I found out due to us rescheduling. So, we have 2 weeks booked, 12/17-1/1 on the 40% off!:woohoo: We are paying more for our rescheduled room tho than we would have in August by far, went from 258 to 365...which hurts, but it is Christmas week, what are you going to do? Without the code there is no way we could have ever considered it all.
Good Luck!:wizard:
