Last week of December, looking for experienced advice

I would do epcot the 28 or 29 so you can see the storytellers, candlelight, other christmas type things that only run through the 30. I would do MK on the 30, as it will still be full but not quite as bad as the 31. We typically do AK on the 31, but thats because our kids are too little to stay up for the fireworks--its the least crowded because they don't have fireworks. :) On the 1st, Everyone is tired from the night before, so rope drop would be to your benefit regardless of park choice.
Thank you!

It's such a fun year to go! You'll have a great time. We've done New Year's once before and had a blast (granted it was with all adults so we enjoyed the wonderful specialty drinks). However, each country seemed to have its own dance party with their own DJs. It was so much fun! Even kids were having a blast. I definitely recommend Epcot on New Year's Eve. As long as you expect crowds and have expectations in hand, you'll be fine. As someone else mentioned, I would try to make rope drop and maybe avoid parks that have early EMH for that morning in hopes that resort guests will be at those parks, freeing up rope drop at other parks. Again, it really will be crowded and crowds will be a "10" each day. I would definitely make sure you have your ressies & fastpass + (not sure if you can do them since you're offsite) ready. Being organized and knowing where you want to go once you get in the parks is also so important this time of year. As someone else mentioned, check the weather before you go. It sounds like Orlando is having a warm autumn right now, but who knows. I've been there eight years ago and it was below freezing - I remember wearing Uggs and down jacket to the parks! Just make sure everyone in your party has reasonable expectations of what they can/can't do. Traveling at this time of year, it's less about "doing every attraction" and more about enjoying the scenery, Disney's magic, and time with each other.
