Yes, it's quite warm, with almost guaranteed storms every day. But slightly lighter crowds than the rest of the month.

Sorry, but it doesn't cool down until October. Sometimes not until November.

Yes, it is. We went last year at this time and going back this summer too. If you look at historical weather data from Weather.com or something, it looks like the temps are going down the TINIEST bit from the hottest time of year, which I think is probably the end of July. But we're talking maybe 1 degree.
We still love it!
Also the crowds begin to thin out at that time!
