So, we are thinking about going to Florida the last week of Florida. I would really like to spend a day at Universal. We went about 15 years ago.

Should it not be as crowed because of school starting? And if so do you think we would still need the fast past or if we stayed on the property and got the early pass would that be sufficient?

We have points that we can stay at Hampton for free. I wonder if it would be cheaper and or better to stay the free night and just pay for fast pass.

What do y'all think?

We've gone the last week of August a few times. If you stay onsite at any of the 3 Deluxe hotels you will automatically get the "Front of the Line" pass. At Cabana Bay, just the early entry. It's hard to say. I've never found it too busy the last week of August but definitely not empty. I still appreciated having front of the line though it wasn't needed at every ride. Plus with the new Diagon Alley attractions, I would imagine park attendance is going to be higher overall, and you'd be happy to have it.

in many of the states, school begins after Labor Day.

have been the last week of august and do see families in the parks.
some days will be a hit or miss at the end of summer.

We decided last night to go the second week of September. I think it won't be as hot and or crowed. Thanks y'all!

Well we are also going the second week of Sept. We are excited, but FYI it won't cool down for a few months. Sept is HOT, really really hot. But crowd calendars look low so we are going anyway.

Wear sunscreen and reapply, & drink lots and lots of water.

Have fun

September is still plenty hot but the crowds should be much lower by then. Stay hydrated, use sunscreen and take it easy. Duck into the a/c as often as needed and you'll have a great time! :thumbsup2

My cousins in Casselberry (outside of Orlando) start on 8/11.

New York schools starts the Thursday after Labor Day in my area.
