Last week of Aug first week of Sept

We are trying to go to Disneyland and DCA either the last week of August or the first week of Sept. We are just getting a one day hopper. Can anyone offer any advice on what day might be the least crowded and the best to go?

Edit: I just went on the Disneyland website and noticed that on the 4 of Sept is when the start the fall hours, no fireworks and the Haunted Mansion is down for Nightmare Before Christmas decorating (im assuming). So I think I would rather go that last week of Aug, but just dont want the crowds.

I *think* they are having the marathon (half marathon?) on Labor Day weekend (first weekend of September)...crowds might be gearing up for and/or coming down from the holiday and the race...

I completly forgot about Labor day. Well im beginning to wonder if the 27 or 28 of August would be best for us.

I agree. Labor Day weekend is usually ok crowd wise but now with the marathon it is going to be packed. Go before Labor Day weekend.

sunday of labor day is the family run and monday is the half marathon. .. sat is the beginning of the health fair at the DLH. . . I'm supposed to go to an orientatoin for volunteering on the 28th of aug, will know more then. . .
