Im hearing mixed opinions about this week Im hoping for mangable crowds but im starting to think its going to be packed what do fellow disers think? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I really hope not. I've never been at this time of year though.

I'm going with the mindset that I'll enjoy myself no matter what so I'm expecting to have a nice trip. I hope that works...LOL! :flower:

I'm sure it will be crowded but I don't care.

I plan to take advantage of EMH and use fastpass to stay ahead of the crowds.

Just 13 more days to go. :cheer2: :cool1:

Me too!! See you there! :Pinkbounc

I think that this will be a good time to go, because the big celebration doesn't kick off until May 5th. I'm hoping that people who would normally go during April are putting their vacations off for a month to see the new things going on there and use ME. Just my little hope...........

We will be there too!! I thought it would be LESS crowded, than earlier Apr. until I found out about the NE spring breakers. I also thought less crowded than our normal May time. (I still think it will be better than May, with the 50th crowds).

Extra hours were added to the last week of April schedule so it sounds like Disney is expecting bigger crowds too. I do know that there is still availability at the value, and moderate resorts. Or at least there was a few days ago, when I called, for my mom.

Oh Well- It's still Disney!!  and we will still have a great time.

"Oh well, it's Disney...! We'll have a great time!"

My thoughts exactly! At least I'm NOT at work! :rotfl:

Even if I don't ride too many rides, I'll just find a park bench, sit down, and watch the crowds...and soak up that Disney magic!!!

Just to get a visual of the park...ahhhh...that's all I need!

We'll be at the happiest place on earth, and even if there's a whole bunch of other people there, we're all in it together!!! :goodvibes

I can't wait! :cool1:

more crowded than usual at this time, but somehow we'll survive with a :teeth: .

It is vaca week for most all the north east schools! But who cares! It is Disney!!!

Hope to see some of you there!

I don't know why everyone keeps saying this. :confused3 CT and MA have spring break the 3rd week in April. Maybe NH, or some of the other NE states are the last week...I don't know. But I DO know CT and MASS are NOT the last week of April.

But, whatever, I do think w/ Disney extending hours that we're in for higher crowds (we're going the last week too). But I don't care, I'm SOOO excited to go, and see some of the new rides too!!!

OK, NH is the last week.....2 other states are the 3rd week.... But I'm not sure where someone got the idea ALL of NE was the same week>????? :confused3

Of course not all of the schools in the NE are out that week. However, enough of us are on break that week to cause the parks to be more crowded than normal.

That is what I'm banking on, too. I'm sure we'll have a great time regardless!!! :cheer2:

Much of NY and some of NJ is off the last week of April.

I guess what I'm trying to point out is that NE school's (plus NY and NJ) spring break is split over the last 2 wks of April....not all the same week. I've seen several posts saying "NE is out the last week of April on school vacation"...and i know 2 of the states are on break the week before. In fact, when I called Disney...way back in August of 2004....they knew about it!! I was originally booking for the 3rd week of April and the kind CM said "Are you aware that's a popular week for school vacations" and I said no, I wasn't, since my children were too young to be in the school systems yet. She suggested I push it out a week and I'd be much happier. I thanked herfor the info'n and booked the later week! :goodvibes

On top of the NE spring break, there is a LARGE convention being held at the Swan and Dolphin during the last week of April. The ARD (American Resort Development) conference expects 3,500 attendees (multiply that by 3 for the family's of the attendees in tow). I've heard conventions don't affect crowds too much since they have to work and attend the conference, but these two factors are causing me to make plans for higher crowds.

Disney constantly monitors off-site hotel bookings and changes their schedules and services accordingly....the fact that they added extra shows and hours is NOT good news for us going the last week of April. Some people claim the extra hours are to make up for the early grad night closings being held on the 22, 23, 29, and 30 though.

Only 13 days left....I'll manage and you should too.

I read on another thread earlier today that Len will be updating the "Best Days" schedule on Friday this week. Better check back and see if things still look good then. I hope they will be. We are going the first week in May. Glad its not the second week "Regis and Kelly" are supposed to be there then.

I hope so. From all the chatter on the boards, those numbers (for May at least) don't look to be very accurate.
