We're looking into changing our "World" trip..to a "land" trip...with extra days at Sea World and magic mountain...

I've read that the Last week in August is still extremely crowded...is this true....well obviously its true....but is the last week in august that bad?

I've traveled to Florida this same week in the past...and have never experienced anything horrible....mainly because the kids were already back in school down there....

If it were you guys....would you go that week...lets say if the other option was to go over november, or in Feb or April....

I'm not set on not going because of the crowds....we did brave WDW at christmas.....but we were staying at the POLY which made it soo much better than if we were staying off site...

Any imput would help greatly...

The last week of August is still pretty crowded but not too bad imo. Kids are starting to go back to shool, some parents don't want to travel when school is just about ready to start also.
november is also a great time to go. Crowds are low unless it's Thanksgiving weekend. Then it'll be packed. In November, you'll have the Christmas Fireworks, It's A Small World Holiday, and Haunted Mansion Holiday as big draws. The downside is that you probably won't have Fantasmic. Both times would be great to go.
Also, I'm assuming you would be getting the 5 days for 3 parkhopper tickets that have the "unlimited fastpasses". My cousins used those recently when I played tourguide and they worked great.

We all know the basic rule of fastpass is you can only have one fastpass at a time. (Yes, there are exceptions but, let's keep this simple.) With the "unlimited" feature, you can gather a fastpass for EVERY attraction at the same time. The other basic rules apply. i.e. if you have a fastpass for Indiana Jones, you can't turn around and get a second one. Unless of course the time is farther out in the day and it will say on the fastpass what time you can get another fastpass for that particular attraction.

I know I will be there the last week of August, crowds or not, it is when I can go. The last week in August ends with Labor Day Weekend, so I would expect it to be pretty busy that weeked. If you can go during "mid-week" that week, the crowds should be lighter then if you go toward the end of that week.
