Last week if august

Just a note about Mid-day swimming...

Mid-day swimming can be tricky with the lightning storms in August.

If you really want to have a set time to enjoy SAB, I would block out a morning for that and get there early, get a chair, and have enough time for it. Then maybe go to a park in the evening.

Very good point!!! TY for thinking of that for me!!!!! I will definitely plan out may 2 mornings for swim/resort hang out, and maybe epcot at night.

Does anyone know when the August Park hours get released????

August hours should be released beginning of Feb, I'm holding out for Sept hours which will be March:goodvibes

Thats great! I will keep a lookout, although its not going to change anything, we can only go this week!!

Just booked my flights!!! Its official!!!!!!:cheer2:

We really like going at the end of August. The southern schools have started and the crowds are more manageable that they are earlier in the summer. The weather is hot and sticky - plan on a quick thunderstorm or two every day. There aren't usually any special events or activities during that week, for what we have seen. We've never tried a discount agency, but hope for a room discount to be announced for that time frame. Congrats on booking your trip - love that "it's official" feeling!

If not, we are going to try Typhoon Lagoon. Coming from MN now, we get enough snow in the winter, LOL. Just going for the total tropical vibe this trip to I guess? Up until recently I probably would have picked Blizzard Beach because my kids aren't super adventurous either and I had heard it has good tot areas, but DD6 is too tall for the little tot area now, so just ogling at the lazy river, a few slides, and the edge of the giant wave pool.

Also excited about the revamped Nanea pool that is coming to the Poly, resort days for sure. Have fun sat SAB and happy planning!

Don't count out BB because your DD6 has gotten taller. I think you might be looking at Tyke's Peak, which is for pre-k kids. There's another area called Ski Patrol that's aimed at kids from around 4-12ish. It's got kid sized slides, a walk-across-the-ice-floe on the pool thing, zip line, lots of stuff for kids that have outgrown the kiddie area but aren't quite ready for the adult slides. My kids always wanted BB because they said TL's kiddie area was "for babies" from about age 4 on. Even after they were tall enough for the adult slides, they still wanted to go back to Ski Patrol for part of the day. Everybody's kids are different, but you might want to check out Ski Patrol.

Yay!! we are beyond excited!! This is going to get us through the rest of the school year!!!!

I am praying for a resort discount or free dining!!! I need this!!!!

i like the heat, so its just my kids i will worry about. But I am thinking I will plan a few days just at the pool.
