Last Trip? It was until we met Food & Wine -- Recap 2/12

I have only heard the opening show. I was in line underneath trying to get in fast for the Mine Train. I really need to make an effort to get there and see it.

I have that urge to get to WDW after seeing this last set of pictures. I need another dose soon!!!

Well, can understand that if you didn't have a FP and wanted to get to the Mine Ride. You really need to see it sometime...at least once.

I wish my trip weren't 102 days away. I'm missing it awful.

We had just finished riding the People Mover and saw that there was still no line for Buzz, so we decided to give it one more whirl.

I felt bad because I had beaten Mark three times this trip, so I decided to "let him win."

After defeating Zurg again, we headed over to Storybook Circus so we could get another ride on Dumbo. However, before we could get there, we ran into that rascal alien:



For some reason there was no PP photographer with him, but the CM handler took our camera and took pictures for us. I have to say, despite my dislike for this alien, we had a great interaction with him. He took Mark's hat off and threw it in the bushes behind us.

After Dumbo, I was on a mission. I had see PP pictures with Chip from Beauty & The Beast in them and I wanted one. I also wanted to see Gaston as I heard HE is the character interaction not to be missed.

So we started our walk.





Watching the Mine Ride go by





First up was Gaston:







Mark kept telling Gaston that his muscles were bigger than his. Gaston kept telling him he was crazy. And then he did this:



I kept trying to remain dignified and serious, but it was impossible. He truly was the best.

Then I found a PP photographer and asked if he could do Chip. He said he sure could and then walked us all over the New Fantasyland to take pictures. Unfortunately, the Chip ones never appeared, but we got these instead which I just love.























Our PP's name was John and I wrote a lovely email about him when we got home. He was absolutely terrific.

So I was like "Marks shirt is too cute" and then I saw yours....GAH...you are both too cute!

So sad that its the last day. Why does that always happen?

I have never entered the MK via the parking lot so ferry pictures always fascinate me. My DH and I went last spring for 5 days but only did 1 park day and just lots of resort stuff, etc. the other days. I SO wish we would have just ridden the ferry. It would have been the perfect trip to "waste" the time doing so. Someday I will!!

Nice work on making it to the opening show....even if it meant a slight delay in your coffee!

Kathy, excellent way to wrap up your last day in WDW. With that shirt Mark was wearing, no wonder you allowed Mark to beat you for once. I bet he forgot all about the previous two times you crushed him and was smiles all day for finally beating you.

I'm glad you had a good time with Gaston. I have never seen him yet myself, but from all the YouTube's I have seen he is hilarious. Good thing Mark is far more handsome and with bigger muscles, I saw that twinkle in your eye in that picture.

I have to admit, you and Mark are so photogenic and always look great. Even after a long hot day in the parks they are still keepers.

That was my first thought when I saw the pictures. I thought you hated Stitch, but you seemed to be having a good time with him. I'm glad that he was in true form for you and Mark.

Sorry the Chip pictures didn't show up, but the pictures you got look great. Your photographer definitely looks like he went out of his way to work with you guys and get a lot of different pictures. Almost like you got a private tour of Fantasyland and your own personal photo shoot!

I have definitely not been absent, I've been following along, I just haven't had the (work) time to comment. But I am living vicariously through all of your fantastic photos and happy Mark moments. It's making it so much easier to wait for our upcoming trip in April (79 DAYS!!!!).

The ride photo on Buzz is hilarious!!

I have never done a meet with Stitch but he seems like it would be a good one. I have actually never even watched Lilo and Stitch... I should do that before we go...

I just LOVE what they did with the new Dumbo area. The water features and themeing is just great, especially at night! I have to say I never rode it regularly before, but it is one ride I look forward to now!

And the picture of Mark before the ride gets going had me really confused because he was facing you and the elephant behind him was facing the other way.. it was freaky! LOL. Took me a minute to realize the people behind were turned around.

I want to meet Gaston!! I have heard so many awesome things. That is for sure on my must do's for this next trip!

That PP was great! Looks like he followed you all around taking magic shots. So cool! Too bad you didn't get chip though.

Sounds like great character interaction with both Stitch and Gaston!

Love your Dumbo photos - especially the one where you can see the rest of newish Fantasy land in the background ... really gives the sense of what they were going for with the circus setting up in the field at the edge of town.

Bummer about not getting the Chip magic shot but you got a bunch of other great ones! Very nice of you to send the e-mail to the PP photographer - I am sure that was greatly appreciated.

Very noble of you to let Mark win on Buzz. I'm not sure I could have done that, I'm just way to competitive.

Awe, cute pictures with Stitch. He was never my favorite but had definitely grown on me the last two trips. He didn't have a PP photographer when I saw him in December.

Of course you had to get a ride on Dumbo on your last day. Great pictures from the ride, I could look at those all day.

Isn't Gaston so much fun to meet? I'm really surprised he didn't challenge Mark to an arm wrestling contest.

Wonderful Magic Shots! I didn't know you could get Chip at MK. We got him one time in front of the B&TB theater at HS. Mom and I got the Lumiere one in October but I haven't gotten that far in my TR yet.
